Engagement Photos Sunday Sweetheart Winner ~ Sonal & Sirju

When it comes to engagement photo shoots, it takes creativity to have your photos stand out from the crowd. And that's why I love these adorable shots with today's Sunday Sweetheart couple, Sonal and Sirju! The duo, who met online a a year and a half ago, join forces with Bella Loren Wedding Fotografica for this playful and whimsical shoot. The first setting (and my favorite!) honors their Indian culture with the Maharani in a turquoise sari and her Raja-to-be in plum kurta. The second, shows the couple's out-of-the-box thinking: a lunch date in the middle of a rushing river! Who wudda thunk?!

T.G.I. Filmy Friday! We start off 2013's first Filmy Friday with a little trip down the California coast to meet up with one of our favorite Indian wedding videographers, Robles Video Productions. This three-day Indian wedding event begins with a relaxing bridal mehndi party (Beauty by Five Dimensions's work is amazing!), followed by a lovely haldi and chuda ceremony. Then finally: a gorgeous seaside wedding ceremony at Hyatt Huntington Beach Resort and Spa! Our green-eyed South Indian bride is fiery in a red sari with jasmine flowers in her hair, while Bloom Box Designs constructs jaimalas with the poofiest roses I've ever seen -- don't miss out on this one!

This fusion Indian wedding begins at Saratoga's Villa Montalvo, an Italian Mediterranean style mansion nestled in the foothills of the Santa Cruz mountains. The South Indian bride, dressed in a bright green and red sari, looks simply radiant as she weds her beau Stuart. I am loving her bridal mehndi, which peeks out from underneath a stack of multicolored churis! Invitations by Ajalon plans the elegant outdoor affair, while Floral Creations by Nasreen takes care of the red and white floral details.

We continue this fusion Indian wedding with a set of lovely portraits. Our Indian bride looks snug as a bug in her new hubby's arms, as James Thomas Long Photography captures these intimate moments. The grounds of Villa Montalvo are simply breathtaking, and could not give this happy couple a prettier back drop. The Maharani's wedding sari perfectly pops against the green scenery, while floral arrangements from Floral Creations by Nasreen adds that extra festive touch!

This vintage themed Indian wedding photo shoot continues with these gorgeous pics below! Castaldo Studio photographs these models, whose stunning hair and makeup is artfully executed by Bridal Elements Hair & Makeup. Dressed in bridal fashions from Sapana Amin, these wedding lenghas are perfect for the Maharani who wants to mix old school elegance with modern day sex appeal. Again, the set is planned by KIS (cubed) Events, which Occasions by Shangri-la helps dress up with tasseled parasols and dark wood screens -- so romantic!
