From the bride, on the photo shoot:

"My favorite moment of the entire wedding was our pre-ceremony pictures in the park. After several sleepless nights being surrounded by family and friends, all I really wanted was a moment alone with the love of my life. We only had about 30 minutes to take pictures and my wedding planners discouraged us from leaving the hotel grounds because of the time crunch. My photographers really wanted to go to a park because they knew they would get some really nice shots with nice breeze and the changing colors of the trees. We all crammed in my car, and went to a nearby park. It was so nice to just be in our element, just Anand and I. Those 30 minutes we had to be alone were so precious because we got to tell each other our vows in a more personal space. Away from the craziness and stress that a marriage brings, we got to really feel the the love we had between one another and our photographers and videographer did an amazing job capturing this moment."

The reception celebration is still ahead!

From the bride, on the wedding style:

"For the ceremony, I wanted it to be very girly with pinks, reds, and whites. I gave my decorator free reign to the design, but had one specific request: a floating floral Ganeshji made out of rose petals. This was actually something I saw on another Maharani's wedding that I knew was a must have for me. She did an amazing job with my mandap and my Ganeshji. It was by far my favorite piece of decor."

The portrait session is coming up!

From the bride, on how they met:

"Anand and I are actually high school sweethearts! We first met at the Hindu Temple for a charity event at the age of 15. I saw him rehearsing his dance on the stage and asked a mutual friend about his details -- but the catch, I was actually asking about him for a friend of mine. Fortunately, they didn't have many common interests, but meanwhile Anand and I started to develop a very close friendship. We dated for two years, but went our separate ways for college. Lets fast forward six years to a random weekday night. It was about 3 AM and I get a phone call from a number I don't recognize. Angrily, I pick up and it was Anand and our mutual friend. They were celebrating Anand's new promotion and with some liquid courage, Anand decided to call me and ask me on a date. I was apprehensive given the time of the night, but I told him I would love to catch up with him, but not call it a date. It had been six years since I had spoken to him so I was bit apprehensive. When we met up the next week, he told me he never stopped thinking about me for the past six years and that he knew one day he would marry me. I obviously thought he was crazy and smooth talking me, but our date went so well that I decided to give this relationship another chance because I could hear the genuine truth in his voice when he told me he never stopped loving me. He makes me feel like I'm a princess and the most important person in his life."

On the proposal:

"Anand proposed to me on the week of my birthday in Summer of 2013 in the middle of the lake in a romantic gondola ride, which is not only my favorite time of the year, but my favorite setting."

On the jewelry:

"I had most of my jewelry custom made from a designer in New York. I sent her a picture of my outfits and she designed the most gorgeous pieces for me. However, the more notable jewelry was my wedding jewelry. It was handed down to me from my closest family friend whom I consider to be my sister. It was so meaningful and every time I look back at the pictures, I think of her. Now, I get to pass down the jewelry to another close family friend. It's nice to be able to keep it within our family."

On the bouquet:

"My favorite part of the whole wedding was my bouquet. I chose to do a jeweled bouquet because I wanted it to be something I can keep to be an heirloom to hand down to my daughter. My close friend, and florist for my wedding, made this bouquet for me as a present. She completely outdid herself. She added in the colors of my outfit, red and purple, with my birth stone - Pearl. But the best part of all of this was the picture of my deceased grandfather's on the bouquet. It was as if they were with me all along. The bouquet was so meaningful and thoughtful."

The ceremony is next!
