Happy Tuesday, beautiful Maharani! If you were looking for inspiration, you've come to the right place! Rohini & Vatsal's big wedding festivities, orchestrated by Detailed Affairs Team, packs all the things we love and so much more. So get ready to enjoy it! Guests were invited to the festivities with beautiful formal wedding invitations thanks to The Royal Collection. It all started with a colorful and fun-loving Sangeet at the Hilton Hasbrouck Heights, where everyone had a great time. Hands down, it was the perfect preamble to set the mood for the gorgeous wedding ceremony that united these two lovebirds in marriage. And we have to say that we adored every single moment of the charming and solemn ceremony officiated at The One and Only Westmount Country Club. As you scroll down through this feature, you'll be amazed by the spectacular shots captured by Lightyear Studio, who immortalize every moment of this long-awaited event. The soft-colored hues on the mandap, the elegant attires, and the love these two radiated were all a winning combination that created magical scenes that we cannot stop seeing. Rohini looked ravishing on her red lengha, very well complemented with the Mehndi art by Mehndikalogie. But she was not the only one looking elegant and fashionably! Vatsal also embraced a traditional style with an elegant Sherwani that made his inner Raja come out! After the ceremony, there was a glamorous reception enlivened by M4U Events, whose endless repertoire put everyone on their feet! The only time the dancing stopped was to enjoy the sweet and delicious cake baked by Baonanas. If you can't get enough of this lovely couple, don't miss the gallery we have prepared for you today. How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
We first met through a set up by my sister and her friend from high school, who happened to be my now-husband's employee. They thought we would be a perfect match, and they were right! Our first date (despite several last-minute cancellations on my part) was at a speakeasy in NYC. It felt like we knew each other forever. I appreciated his corny jokes and he appreciated my sass. I don't think there was ever a moment I knew Vatsal was the one - our entire relationship felt so natural and just felt like we were always meant to be together.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
We were in Morocco on a ten-day vacation. Our final stop in Morocco was the Sahara Desert. Little did I know, but Vatsal had initially made several plans including a beautiful layout and a private photographer, which were all thwarted by last-minute cancellations by the local vendors. This did not stop him, however, and the morning after our stay in the desert, he asked a local man to take our photo on his iPhone at sunrise. As the sun rose over the sand dunes, he got down on one knee, and the proposal was absolutely perfect!

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
We began planning soon after our engagement and our first stop was to find the venue. The minute we set foot into Westmount Country Club, we fell in love. We felt so at home there, and could picture our wedding there. Bobby from Westmount was with us every step of the way, and even through the pandemic, was able to ease our worries. Everything fell into place after that. The rest of our vendors were chosen similarly, with intuition, and we usually went with our gut reactions. We chose vendors that we felt we meshed well with, and the vendors almost felt like friends (and really were at the end of this process!). Nate and Thanh from Lightyear studios made us feel so comfortable and are true artists - we both feel awkward in front of the camera but we knew Nate and Thanh would put us at ease! They were truly amazing, and their work speaks for itself. Pauline from Flawless by Pauline did my hair and makeup, and was able to help me achieve the clean, light on makeup look that I desired. Dhara from Mehndikalogie did an amazing job with my intricate mehndi. Matt from MDL events made beautiful floral arrangements. DJ Vik and the rest of the M4U events team produced a banging party. And finally, our day-of coordinators led by Arun from Detailed Affairs made our wedding day seamless. Despite being only a day-of coordinator, Arun was with us throughout the month leading up to our wedding, calming our nerves. All our vendors were truly outstanding, and helped us to have a perfect wedding day.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I really wanted a red lehenga, but one with pink accents to make it a little different than the typical wedding lehenga. Because of my work schedule in residency, I was unable to go to India to get my outfits, but my amazing sister looked for me (when she was conveniently getting her own!). Through 2am facetimes, I was able to choose a beautiful red and pink lehenga purchased from Delhi.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
Cake tasting - because I have a huge sweet tooth!
In reality, wedding planning can be extremely stressful, but I tried to enjoy the moments I got to spend with Vatsal talking about our wedding. It was exciting to think about our future and spending the rest of our lives together.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
The hype and the party! All guests were vaccinated and restrictions in NJ were just lifted, and this was the first time in over a year that many were attending an event. It was so exciting to see family and friends. DJ Vik and the M4U events team put on an amazing party, and our guests were dancing all night!

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
The first look was the most special moment for me. Neither of us are criers, but we both shed (more than a few) tears when we first saw each other. It was really the only moment we had with just the two of us, and felt so intimate and personal. It was a perfect moment to start the rest of our lives.

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
For our Mehndi night, we wanted a Moroccan themed evening since we got engaged in Morocco. Abdel Habibi Morocco NY was amazing - he brought stunning decor and even went above and beyond to set it up last minute. He made our night so special and so reminiscent of our engagement!
Our sangeet night was held at a local hotel, and was filled with performances by friends and family, and ended with a garba/raas dance that all guests joined!

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Easier said than done, but try not to stress about the small things on your wedding day! There were certainly a few things on my day that didn't go as planned, and there will be in yours too, but in the end, ZERO people noticed the things that went "wrong" and only remembered the amazing moments such as walk down the aisle, exchange of garlands, first dance, partying on the dance floor. Don't sweat the small details and try to enjoy every moment, because it's over before you know it.

So, let me tell you about Rikita & Anand's big day. They are two young lovers who decided to walk through the same path and join their lives in marriage. Their big day started with a breathtaking wedding ceremony hosted at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden, a place where you can find peace, love, and greenery. And we adored every moment of this solemn ceremony as much as their family and friends. Priceless moments and beautiful smiles were all over the place; it was extraordinary! The delicate flowers decorating the mandap were an excellent match for the beauty of our lovely Maharani. The mesmerizing backdrop combined with the makeup and hairstyle designed by Jenny Le Makeup Artist and Anna Pham was the perfect combo to make a dreamy wedding! And Minaz did not stay behind with that artistic Mehndi design. I loved it, and I know you will love it too. Like in all grand celebrations, you must have delicious food, and this time was no exception. Best Impressions delighted all the guests with a mouth-melting culinary experience prepared with an essential ingredient, love. The couple chose an outdoor wedding celebration, as there is no better decoration than the sun, the colorful flowers, and a beautiful mandap designed by Wedding Design Decor. It was a whole lot of beauty planned by Detailed Affairs Team! And we cannot talk about beauty without mentioning Trushti 's head-turning looks. The classy makeup and hairstyle designed Makeup by Marrisa & Hair Guru perfectly combined with the exclusive outfit KYNAH designed for the Haldi Ceremony. And we adored this winning combo as the colorful scene was breathtaking! My dears, if you want to have an elegant Mehndi specially designed for you, Mehndikalogie is the one to call. For the wedding ceremony, Marwar Couture took care of this Maharani's fashion needs and made her look like a goddess, while Riana Jewellery enhanced this bridal look with their exclusive jewelry designs! After the wedding ceremony, it was time to celebrate the newlyweds with a fantastic reception party marked by the captivating look of our gorgeous Maharani, who donned a fashionable attire by Payal Keyal and sparkling pieces of jewelry from Aetee Designs. How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
He is a pilot and i work in an IT firm, i was flying to california to see my sister for holidays that's when my mom sent me his bio data. We met after that and the rest is history.

Best proposal ever, he was going to take me around new york city in those small planes and he was going to fly. That morning he made some excuse and he told me to go, i didn't want to go without him but he was adamant. His friend was going to take me around now, we were doing the pre-checks on the runway, and suddenly I saw him . I got happy thinking that he is coming with me now.All of a sudden I heard bollywood music and he was bending on one knee, i came out and I saw all my friends, my sister and everyone standing in the back with the will you marry me sign. It started raining when i said yes.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
I always wanted all the events at one place, so I was looking for a venue that had multiple locations  for different ceremonies and also we had a hotel upstairs so it was convenient for all guests to stay in. When I saw Sheraton for the first time, I was in love with the beautiful chandelier all over and all the modern vibes. They had a beautiful outdoor location where we did our wedding ceremony under the sun.
For me the decor was the most important thing because it can definitely add an extra wow factor to the place. Weddingdesign & Decor team were perfect. We chose beautiful fresh flowers décor for our wedding ceremony and for reception we did a completely different look. Royal blue theme with hint of gold. Our guests loved both the decor because it was so different from each other.
For my Hair & Makeup I hired  Dawn & Marisa, They did my makeup & hair at my SIL's wedding. I didn't even think twice before booking them. Marissa did an amazing job with all my looks, the makeup was so fresh and clean. I showed Dawn exactly what i wanted with my hair, different hairstyle for each events. Everyone loved it. They are the best.
As our wedding planner we hired Detailed Affairs team , literally best decision ever. They were on point starting from vendor meetings, walkthrough. They literally took care of everything.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I always want to wear red on my wedding day but i was looking for something unique. Because of the pandemic i was not able to go to India for my wedding shopping, so i shopped all the outfits online including jewelry for all events. When i saw the video out of my wedding outfit for the first, i was in love with the outfit. It was exactly what i wanted  , gorgeous and unique.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
Planning a wedding during pandemic is STRESSFUL !!! I planned everything from here as India was under strict lockdown, got all my pre-events, wedding & reception outfits online. I also got all my Jewelry for all events online. I used to be on calls & video calls with all the vendors until 2-3 am everyday. Instagram was a savior, I used to look for different designers, outfits, and all trending styles 24*7. Funny part , now I get a message that my screen time has reduced  by 60% post wedding LOL. The best part after all the stress is looking at everything coming together, trust me best feeling ever.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
All the guests loved the Wedding & reception decor. They also loved the idea of outdoor wedding, we lucked out on the weather, it was freezing outside for all our pre-events and I really wanted outdoor wedding , it was 75  degrees. They also loved the flash mob dances, for my sister, Sil & bridal party walk, I asked them to do a small dance, instead of just walking in. Still obsessed over that

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
At our wedding when nikhil was putting the sindoor on my forehead, it fell on my nose. Everyone kept saying that means he loves you alot. I had the biggest smile on my face.

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
People always say  the wedding is always about the bride, i wanted it to be about nikhil as well. I got customized kalree with small airplanes hanging, he absolutely loved it. I did small gestures with airplanes, we had airplanes on our cake. The  Reception seating chart was something different related to aviation.
For the wedding we had a lively baraat procession consisting of Bollywood bangers, colorful smoke bombs and choreographed performance by the groom's sisters & brothers on our family's favorite song "chotte chotte bhaiyo ke" . Following his energetic entry, I made my way to the mandap with my sister. It was a perfect sunny day  & our gorgeous fresh flower mandap looked perfect . And, ending it all on a high note, we drove off as newlyweds in our Slingshot Car.
A grand party that celebrated our love along with our loved ones,  the reception was packed with glitz and glamour. Nikhil and I made a smashing choreographed entry on the ‘Aeroplane’ song. Furthermore, touching speeches by our friends, siblings, and parents added an emotional touch to the event.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
For all the other Bride-To- Be i would say The big day will be over before you  even realise it, don't stress over the details. Just Enjoy. Always go with what you & your partner want, remember it's your day not anyone else's.  Pick everything that you both like, don't think twice if you love it, don't forget you will remember this day for the rest of your life , so no regrets. A wedding should be an expression of your unique style & story together.
