From the groom:
"Sarah and I have known each other for seven years now. Initially we were joined in friendship but now we're uniting forever in love. Sarah is a perfect balance of someone that likes to spend alone time with me, but at the same time loves partying with her friends and family. One of my friends recently got an internship at the Longwood Gardens near Philadelphia. I had heard so much about this place so I decided to visit her and also get a tour of the gardens. Within my first five minutes at the garden, I knew this is where I wanted to propose. Longwood Gardens is this serene place where there's intricate fountain systems to the meticulous gardens to the architectural grandeur to some awe-inspiring discoveries. These gardens literally screamed Sarah's personality. And so the planning began ...
Since Longwood Gardens is a public place, my biggest challenge was to figure out how I could propose in a private setting. After some help from the manager of operations, I found the Mediterranean Garden, which is inside the greenhouse enclosed between two doors on either side. I asked the manager if we can have security at either doors to block people from coming in while I do my proposal. They were on-board. That was a big victory in my opinion.
The rest was planning the intricate details. My friends, Parth and Shil, took care of the rest. They had the Mediterranean Garden set up perfectly with rose petals, glasses of champagne and the ring box.
April 12th is the day I proposed. I told Sarah we have some family from India visiting and that they are going to Longwood Gardens so we should go say 'hi' for a bit. She was on-board with that because she had never seen the gardens either. Once we got there, I had arranged my family to call her to let her know that they were running half an hour behind schedule. So, both me and her, roamed around the gardens alone. We ended up at the Mediterranean Garden and I'll leave the rest to your imagination.
Seriously, the happiest days of our lives. She said she wouldn't have want it any other way. 'It was perfect,' she said. After the proposal, my family came and gave us their blessings. Sarah had family fly all the way from Florida for this. In the evening we all went out to a restaurant in downtown Philadelphia followed by a rooftop lounge to celebrate the best day of our lives.
I would like to Thank Sachi for taking amazing candid photos while the proposal was going on. She was hiding behind a large bush so you could imagine how difficult it could be to get the perfect pictures. But the pictures she captured are the best pictures we have ever seen."
What a dream proposal! See you tomorrow, dolls!
