From the bride, on how she met "the one":
"I met my Raja through a mutual friend during a night out celebrating a friend's birthday. I truly believe it was fate. He was in town for business and met up with his cousin and some friends. His cousin was friends with the birthday girl. I was at the party with one of my friends and the two groups started talking. As the night went on, I could just tell there was something special about him. Unfortunately, he was flying back home the next day. At the end of the night he took my number, and I was hoping he would call me. To my surprise, he called me the next night when he got home. From that point on we spoke several times a day and just seemed to connect. 2 weeks later he surprised me for my birthday (at that point he said he still didn't know if he wanted anything serious since he, as well as I, had been burned in the past). Our long distance friendship developed and grew into a strong relationship. The distance (Chicago to Florida) was difficult at first but I think it really made us stronger with time, we relied on communication and cherished the times we did get to spend with one another. I knew he was 'the one' after a few months of dating, I had never felt this way before and he always knew how to keep me smiling and happy. He loved my parents and family and treated them as his own. He became my best friend and my better half."
