Hello, girls! Today, we're headed to the Big Apple for Sandhya and Neil's Indian wedding, courtesy of Connor Studios and Iris Cinematics! We're starting off with the fun-filled sangeet celebration which takes place at the luxurious New York Marriott Downtown! Maharani Sandhya looks beautiful in her pre-wedding celebration fuchsia, purple, green and white lengha alongside Maharaja Neil in his matching sherwani! Colorful lenghas are the name of the game when it comes to dressing for the sangeet! And there's no shortage of color with this bride when it comes to getting ready for her big wedding day! Her red, blue and gold lengha along with the perfectly matched bangle set are gorgeous! And how stunning is that ruby and gold necklace?! Go big or go home, right ladies?! There is no question that when it came to choosing her wedding vendors, Sandhya went BIG! Every detail is organized by Preeti Exclusive, who meticulously designs weddings on a national and international scale! The bride also relied on the astonishing Design House Decor for all her floral and decor needs, which you will see a lot more of soon enough! If that's not enough, the liveliest of the lively, Volcanik Entertainment, serves as DJ! More is on its way, but for now, visit the gallery for even more getting ready images!
From the bride, on how they met:
"Neil and I were set up by our mutual friends who thought we’d be a great match since we were both pretty nerdy. After some Google and Facebook stalking on both our parts, we agreed to entertain our friends' set up. We were both living in NYC at the time so we met up for drinks and covered just about every nerdy topic possible -- from Disney movies and board games to how my thesis included an analysis of The Simpsons (one of Neil's favorite shows)."
On the proposal:
"Neil’s proposal was incredibly creative, quirky, and personal. Given my love for board games, Neil gave me a little-known game called Monopoly Deal as part of his one year anniversary present. We were hooked on the game, and soon enough all of our friends were too. Fast forward a year and a half later… Neil orchestrated a Monopoly Deal themed scavenger hunt through New York City. With our closest friends and family stationed at each location, I spent almost 3 hours revisiting places in the city that were important to our relationship before Neil dropped down on one knee."
