Let's see these crazy kids have their Sri Lankan fusion wedding at The Atrium at Meadowlark in Virginia, images courtesy of Zenat Drown Photography. Apiramy and Ryan become man and wife in a captivating outdoor ceremony with a majestic mandap that is draped in baby pink and gold fabric by Imperial Décor. The sun goes down and it is time to party! The newlyweds cut a rug to the beats of Chris Laich Music Services, while the guests dine to the delicious cuisine of Bombay Tandoor, and sugary treats by Signature Sweets by Amanda. Sounds like a great time is had by all! Hats off to RSVP Events for making Maharani Apiramy's dream wedding a reality! Relive it all from the beginning in the gallery!
From the bride, on a special moment:
"One of the most special moments for me was when Ryan tied the thalli (gold necklace) around my neck. That was the moment I became his wife and I just love thinking about it. It's very special to me."
On special details:
"We wanted to give something special to our guests to show our appreciation, not just an object that would be thrown away or forgotten. My mom made traditional Sri Lankan fruit cake as gifts for our guests. She tested out a few recipes and the end result was just delicious. We received so many compliments on her cake!"
On a family heirloom:
"I wore a vintage necklace that my mom had gifted me. For my mom's wedding, her mom gifted her with a gold and pearl necklace. And for my wedding, my mom gifted me with the same necklace. And I hope to continue this tradition someday."
See ya next time, gals!
