PinkRockEvents has planned the most gorgeous Indian fusion wedding for today's Rajas, and we're at Claremont McKenna College to take a look at the handsome couple's unforgettable ceremony. These incredible images were captured by Worden Photography, and feature some of the most memorable highlights from Raja Brad and Raj's vow exchange. You can be sure that a couple that meets during an American Idol audition would have no problem being center stage for their very own big event! The intimate layout of their ceremony is beautiful, and we're finding it difficult not fall head over heels for these two, as we're sure their guests did that day. Raj, on his and Brad's wedding style:
"We host people at our place a lot for drinks or dinner or game nights or movies. We wanted our wedding to have that same intimate feel with curated food, music and drinks but on a grander scale. Every decision from the colors to the food, from the infused alcohol we made ourselves to every song which I had selected and sequenced in some cases told the story of us. We even had our ceremony in the round to really make it feel intimate, as if everyone was a part of the moment for us."
On what he enjoyed most about planning his dream wedding:
"Having planned smaller events my whole life, I really enjoyed the challenge of planning something on a larger scale. I've never done anything that embraced my Indian roots, but I really wanted to fuse my western upbringing with my Indian heritage. We had a sangeet, which was amazing. We picked vibrant colors, had Indian dancers during the ceremony, and even had a mehndi artist provide henna to the women."
On his most memorable wedding moment and his and Brad's first dance song selection:
"The whole weekend was really amazing to me. I think our first dance will always be etched in my memory. We danced standing on top of a fountain with all of our loved ones around. It was really special... Brad and I have always sung together, ever since we met at "American Idol." Our favorite duet has always been "A Whole New World," which is why we chose it. The meaning really speaks to our two worlds coming together, and the newness of the relationship for both of us when we first met."
On the role that family and friends played:
"Our closest family and friends danced for us during the Sangeet. 3 of our closest friends danced during our wedding ceremony, which was really special and something people still talk about to this day."
On working with their wedding vendors:
"We worked with a local baker in Claremont on our 3 tier cake, which had Indian and Western flavors in mind. We also worked with an Indian Events company, Pink Rock, on coordinating every detail with the vendors and venues."
We sure hope you loved these two handsome grooms as much as we did! Have a spectacular rest of the day, lovelies! We'll see you all tomorrow!
