Come along with me to Garden City, New York for Cynthia and Rahul's elegant Indian wedding affair! Qamar Photography gives us a first look at the couple working it in their wonderful ceremony fashion! Our Maharani looks like a living doll, thanks to hair and makeup artist Singhar by Ayesha, and mehndi maven Henna For All! The mocha-toned shadows bring out Cynthia's beautiful dark brown eyes! And look how ravishing she looks in her ruby-red lengha! Her trusty bridesmaids join in on the fun, dressed in royal blue saris! I love that extra pop of color! Then, it's off to the swanky Akbar Restaurant where a regal mandap by Wedding Design awaits our lovebirds for their heartwarming I do's! Don't you dare go anywhere because we've got the always entertaining Xtensive Sound Djs mixing it up on the one's and two's, but meanwhile, browse the gallery for more beauty tips!
From the bride, on how they met:
"We met actually on a dating website but the moment we actually met after speaking to each other for 3 weeks we both knew this was going to work. I've never seen a bigger smile on a man's face til that day! Our connection was just incredible."
On the proposal:
"My proposal- a dinner cruise in NYC for my "birthday" as we were having dinner a hostess came up to us and said we were the "lucky couple who won a romantic setting on the private rooftop of the cruise." Being so excited we went! As soon as we got to the rooftop as I was taking in the beautiful view I then saw Rahul on one knee and a photographer capturing our moment. It was very memorable and breathtaking."
On the wedding style:
"I wanted a lot of gold! We wanted a very royal, beautiful, dramatic wedding; three main events in catering halls and 400 guests."
On her favorite part of planning:
"Getting to shop for our beautiful outfits. Decorations was my favorite to put together everything you dreamt of. All the colors, music, amazing venues."
On the lengha:
"Spending all that time on the Internet, you find styles you might like but once you actually start shopping, you instantly know that's my lengha! The mintue I saw it, I fell in love and knew I had to have it."
See the reception celebration, next!
