Maharani Nancy, on how she met the Raja of her dreams, Mike:
"We meet through Match.com, and after hanging out, going on dates we both had so much in common and we could not stop talking and being together."
On her Raja's romantic proposal:
"Yes, It was Friday Feb 6, 2015. I had thought we were going out to dinner in NYC. I was working late. Especially on that day I was working later than usual Friday's. I had to rush home, take a shower, didn't know what to wear, only had 45mins to do all this before catching the train. My make-up I had to do on the train which was not a good idea. After getting of the train and meeting up with Mike I had quickly applied some makeup on in the car before getting to the place. He had told me he made reservations at 230 Fifth which is a rooftop lounge facing the Empire State building. Once we got in I was thinking I've never seen a restaurant in this place, so we go upstairs and outside to grab a drink take some pictures and all of a sudden he gets down on one knee and the rest is history. He had hired a photographer who took all the pictures since we got there and I had no clue we had a photographer following us the whole time. I can never forget that day."
On choosing her lenghas:
"Choosing my lengha was very difficult my mom and I were both stressed out going to all these stores and not finding anything. We decided we would go to India but did not have the time. We finally decided to talk to 2 different designers whom we found and got custom made pieces both for the wedding ceremony and reception."
On her hair and makeup:
"Both hair and makeup was amazing. I found the best makeup/hair stylist Kanwal Batool, she is fantastic and thought of all the makeup and hair styles for that day."
An unforgettable recap of reception moments is coming up next, so check back in soon!
