Hello my wonderful friends, grab a warm cup of tea and indulge in this extravagant South Asian wedding shot by Hiram Trillo Art Photography! Our stunning Maharani, Alyssa, starts the celebration off with an intimate mehndi night and intricate floral designs drawn by The Original Henna Company. As the weekend progresses so does the celebration at the Safari Texas Magnolia Ballroom, where the beautiful couple held their elaborate sangeet planned by  K.I. Weddings, filled with plenty of entertainment and laughs with tons of family and friends. Our beautiful bride arrived in style on a gold doli as she was set for the night to begin! With our Indian bride donning a black choli wth gold embroidery and a red and pink lengha, she's sure to delight her guests. After the magical night, Alyssa is ready to marry the man of her dreams. While she is getting ready, being draped in her off- white bridal sari and matching embellished dupatta, she takes a moment to take it all in before the two love birds become husband and wife. Check out the gallery for more photographs on the elaborate sangeet and pre-wedding celebrations.

The bride on how she met the one:

"My nephew, who was 12 at the time, is the one who actually introduced us! My brother-in-law was working with Anil on a charity project and decided that I just had to meet him. I was a senior at UT Austin at the time and decided I was too busy trying to get into medical school to meet him. Not to mention I did not trust my brother in law's taste and told him anyone he wanted to set me up with had to be awful. A couple of months passed by and every time I would come home to visit for the weekend my sister, brother-in-law, and their kids would ask if I wanted to go on a blind date and every time my answer would be no. Finally one Friday, Anil and I were in the same place at the same time so my nephew Adam told Anil that he needed him to talk to someone. Adam brought Anil to me and said "talk to her" and just left. Anil and I made small talk, exchanged numbers, and went out on a date the following weekend. Five years later, here we are, married."

On the engagement:

"Two months before he proposed Anil mentioned there was a formal event that we had to attend for his work. He wanted to give me enough notice to make sure I could drive to Houston from San Antonio. I spent the next two months looking for a fabulous dress. On the day of the event, I got my hair and nails done. As we walked up to Tiny Boxwood's, Anil told me that he had never lied to me in the past but that he had been lying to me for the past several months. He stated "this is not just any event. This is THE event". As we turned the corner, I saw a gazebo directed with flowers, candles, and pictures of us throughout our relationship. He walked me through the pictures and at the very last picture he got down on one knee and proposed. Hiding in the bushes was a secret photographer to capture that special moment. After he proposed, our siblings and closest friends also came out of hiding to celebrate with us."

Meet me back here dolls for the intimate wedding and lavish wedding reception!
