Hello my gorgeous Maharanis, lets indulge ourselves in this beautiful Pakistani wedding captured eloquently by FengLong Photography! Amidst the spring in Atlanta, Georgia our wonderful Maharani, Shaila along with some of her close family members and friends celebrate during her joyous mehndi party. Our bride, Shaila received an intricate mehndi design on both her hands and feet which are simply stunning. As the night progresses so does the festivities with more pre-wedding celebrations under way at the Signature Ballroom Atlanta with the pithi and sangeet! You can tell Shaila's stylish flair with her dramatic eye make-up and her dazzling wardrobe featuring regal jewel-tone colors. We heard all about the scrumptious food served during the reception by Cafe Bombay Restaurant and Catering as DJ Jaz- GTB Productions were spinning fantastic beats to get everyone on the dance floor. We can't wait to share with you all delightful memories the two lovebirds shared! Come check out the full gallery for more of the stupendous pre-wedding celebrations.
The bride on how she met the one:
"I went to a camp with Hanif's sister a few years ago. He saw a picture of us some time later, asked her about me, and then reached out to me shortly after. We started to get to know each other and things clicked really fast, next thing I knew, we were dating!"
On the engagement:
"Hanif and I went to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico on a vacation with another couple in August 2014. He took my to a romantic dinner, just us 2, on the night of August 28th. I had been unsure the entire trip about if he would propose or not but he did a great job of throwing me off every step of the way! We enjoyed an amazing 5 course meal overlooking the ocean and watched the sun set. Fireworks went off during dinner too, but still, no proposal. I was almost positive by the time dessert came out that the dinner was just what it was meant to be, a romantic candlelight dinner date. The dessert was covered with a metal lid and when I uncovered it, there was a beautiful diamond ring popping out of the chocolate cake (surrounded by strawberries)! I truly have a very foggy memory of what came after, but apparently Hanif got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!"
On her wedding style:
"I have no idea what I had in mind in terms of a "style." I just knew I wanted a sangeet with lots of bright colors, and a reception color scheme that was elegant and classic. Pinterest gave me great ideas for color schemes, hairstyles, and outfit styles. I mixed and matched certain styles and put it together to customize what I wanted, all the way from decor to my outfits for each event."
On a special moment:
"Seeing Hanif for the first time on the sangeet day after a few months of being apart was magical. I was leaving the hall from completing my pithi and saw him outside the hall, I still remember the butterflies I felt when I saw him!"
Meet me back here to see our Maharani marry her true love!
