The bride Neha on how she met the one:
"Sandarsh and I met through a family friend and I knew pretty early on in our relationship that he was "the one" because of the way he treated everyone around him including me. He has always been a very funny, loving, caring, jovial, intelligent and thoughtful person and these were the most important qualities I wanted in my partner. He did something very special and thoughtful for my birthday last year and I don't think I will ever forget that birthday. It showed me how caring, thoughtful, sweet and loving he was. It also made me realized that we were very compatible and had common interests, values and personality - most of all, he just made me so happy and feel at ease at all times. I knew I was falling in love with him!"
On the proposal:
"True to his personality, Sandarsh planned a beautiful, romantic, full of surprises (ten surprises in one weekend), detailed, well-thought-out proposal for me. He involved all the most important people in our lives and he asked me to marry him at our favorite place in the world - our home in New York City! He took me to all the spots in NYC where we had had some of our favorite and milestone dates and at each spot there was a new surprise. I still can't believe he planned such an amazing weekend for me - I feel like the luckiest girl in the whole world!!"
On her bridal lengha:
"I choose my lengha after doing some research on the internet. For me, the biggest help and most valuable experience was watching my sister design all her outfits for her wedding. I wanted the lenghas to look a bit different but still have the traditional feel. I went for red and gold in the morning as I wanted the traditional red color but didn't want that to be the only color. I went with pink for the evening as that is one of my favorite colors and my sister picked it out for me"
On her wedding style:
"When we sat down to figure out our dream wedding and how we wanted it to look, we didn't know much about planning a wedding but we knew one thing for sure - we wanted an elegant, fun and beautiful weekend for everyone involved especially our family and close friends. We wanted it to be colorful and vibrant yet elegant and understated."
Meet me back here ladies for the wedding ceremony and reception!
