The bride on planning her wedding:
"I think we enjoyed the food - tastings the most. We were fortunate enough to get our favorite restaurants to cater - this included Akbar Long Island and Bukhara and we loved developing the menu and other food related details with them. We wanted to have the best food at our wedding as we both love good food (especially Sandarsh)!"
On a special moment:
"I remember a few special moments - getting ready with my sister and my mother while my father often checked in on us - it was a real family affair. Having my best friends (Kelly and Neelam) visit me before I went for my first look. Most important and precious moments with Sandarsh - I remember walking down for our "first look" and feeling very lucky. I remember walking down the aisle and realizing this was it - I was about to marry my best friend and the best man I had ever met. Most of all, I recall being on the mandap and looking at Sandarsh and feeling so lucky. I remember smiling and laughing with him many times - it was very special"
On a special song:
"Yes we did - it was "A thousand years" by Christina Perri. It was actually one of the songs that Sandarsh added to his playlist when he proposed to me but for some reason we really connected with this song. I remember humming this song for weeks after he had proposed. We loved the song and it reminded us of our proposal weekend therefore we picked it as our first dance"
On the special details:
Oh yes, our family and friends were key to make this a special event for all of us. My in-laws and my parents were super involved from day one!! They went with us to all our décor meetings, venue meetings and many vendor meetings. My sister had recently gotten married so her and my new brother-in-law's advice was very important as they had just gone through this whole process just a few months ago. My sister-in-law is a wedding planner and is a very creative individual so her expertise and advice were critical every step of the way! Overall, it was a big family project and Sandarsh and I both realized how lucky we were to have such supportive and helpful family! We love our families"
I'll catch you back here for another wonderful wedding!
