MaxPhoto NY photographed the most beautiful Indian wedding planned by Platinum Dream Events in Princeton, New Jersey, and we're beyond ecstatic to be sharing all the divine details from it with you today! The bride and groom of the hour, Pooja and Ravi, tied their knot at The Westin Princeton at Forrestal Village, where the talented floral and decor experts from Stylish Events set them up with some superb ceremony decor. Singhar by Ayesha flawlessly finished the Indian bride's hair and makeup, and Maharani Pooja looked exceptionally exquisite from head to toe donning her traditional wedding lengha. Raja Ravi made the perfect Prince Charming, rocking a champagne-colored sherwani and arriving to the wedding on his white horse during his baraat procession, which featured the incredible folks from Medley Entertainment! When I get back, be ready for an amazing post-ceremony soirée with DJ Raj Entertainment & Event Lighting and Moghul Caterers! In the meantime, head into the complete gallery for more from the newlyweds' first look and ceremony!
Maharani Pooja, on meeting the Raja of her dreams, Ravi:
"We met in NYC 5 years ago through our common friend and my roommate at the time, he had just finished his boards so he would come party with us every weekend. That's how it all started & I think I knew this was it from the get go, it just felt like he was the one for me."
On Ravi's proposal:
"You know how with Indian families it's hard to maintain that element of surprise before the proposal? There are so many formalities to go through first; the families have to meet and get acquainted, getting people together for the proposal and all that. In all this we always know that the proposal is going to happen it's just a matter of time, but what I LOVED about my proposal/engagement was that I had no idea. My husband had sneakily finished all those formalities behind my back. I had no idea on when he had called my mother in India and asked for her permission to marry me or when he had made our families meet. It was all kept a secret from me so when he proposed out of no where I was in for a HUGE surprise. I think I fell in love with him a little more that day if that's even possible."
On what she enjoyed most about planning her dream wedding:
"I think I enjoyed every bit of the wedding planning process. Not going to lie, it was super stressful at times but it was all worth it in the end. It was a beautiful wedding, I couldn't have wished for a better outcome."
On her hair and makeup:
"Ayesha from Singhar did an AMAZING job for both my events. I did have a basic idea on what kinda looks I wanted & Ayesha made it happen for me. I LOVED the shimmery/smokey eyes she did for me for the reception."
We'll be right back with some post-ceremony splendor from Pooja and Ravi's reception!
