Maharani Ann, on her wedding style and working with Suhaag Garden:
"My wedding palette was inspired by the free spirit rose. I loved the soft colors and the variations in the coral and pink shading. Our palette was coral, cream, and sparkly gold. I told our decorator, Jilna from Suhaag Gardens, what I was looking for and she did an amazing job with the decor."
On shopping for her sari:
"My mom, my aunt, and I went shopping in our home state of Kerala. We went to dozens of sari stores before we found the sari that we all liked. I love peacocks and my sari had a peacock border so I knew it was perfect."
On her most magical wedding moment:
"It was so amazing to see all of our family and friends come together from near and far. My grandmother and my aunt even came from India to celebrate with us. It was an incredibly joyous event because so many people made such an effort to support us throughout our lives and join us on our special day."
On her and Raja David's wedding cake:
"Our cake was a tiramasu cake done by Sarasota Cakes. It was so delicious that we barely had any leftover after the wedding."
Additional thoughts from the bride:
"The wedding would not have happened without the help of my family. My mom was the chief event planner. She did so much, including but not limited to: checking out venues, going to food tastings, coming to India to help me find my wedding outfits, stitching and arranging the decor for my mehendi event, and inviting and following up with guests. My dad was right there to help her. My mom's sisters also came to help us prepare the wedding. They did everything from planning the detailed reception timeline, bringing sweets from India for the wedding, decorating the mehendi hall, and pre-packing all of my jewelry and outfits so that I wouldn't have to worry about it. They were incredible. We also had a family "What's App" group so that we could chat about all sorts of wedding options."
Perfect way to end the week, right? We'll be dreaming of this reception all weekend!
