Hello Maharanis! Today we have an exquisitely elegant Indian fusion wedding held in San Francisco City Hall! The venue's high, arched ceilings and grand staircases made it a sophisticated backdrop for Ananya and Prasad's wedding. We loved Indian bride Ananya's modern take on a vintage white dress; the diamond open back and see-through lace skirt gave it a fresh feel. Our bride's princess-like look, by Dana Louie, was created by using soft makeup and tying her hair to the side. VA Photography captured incredible pictures of everything with grand flair, so make sure to check out the gallery to see the rest of these breathtaking pictures!
From Maharani Ananya on how she met the Raja of her dreams:
"We knew each other since we were kids, but we actually got in touch after nearly 20 years through Facebook. He was in the US and I was in India. When he came down to India for a visit, we met, and I knew then that he was 'the one'!"
On her wedding style:
"We had a simple wedding at the CIty Hall with our closest family members and friends with us. We knew this was how we wanted our wedding to be! The colors and themes were my idea. My inspiration was just one place: the beach! All the colors that came to my mind were based on the beauty of beaches."
The couple's choice for a first dance song:
"'A Thousand Years' by Christina Perri"
Stay tuned for the beautiful beachside reception photos up next!
