Hello Maharanis! Today we have Priya and Matt's lively Indian fusion wedding! Platinum Dream Events planned the two-day event, starting with a Catholic ceremony on day one. Our Indian bride Priya was radiant in her long white gown, with a full skirt that added a princess-like feeling. John O created the bride's glowing look, with soft makeup that gave her a natural but polished appearance. Her bridesmaids, meanwhile, had stunning makeup by Glamour Eyes! After the ceremony, Studio Nine Photography + Cinema captured spectacular portraits of the newlyweds in the rain! It looked as though time truly stopped for our lovely couple as they stared into each other's eyes. At the reception, we loved the charming, unique cake toppers of the bride and groom as college mascots. To see more wedding details, check out the full gallery!

From Maharani Priya on how her Raja proposed:

"Let's just say it was a weekend full of surprises. We took a trip up to Watch Hill, RI and stayed at a beautiful resort called the Ocean House. I was completely surprised when Matt proposed to me over a delicious breakfast in bed the first morning we were there. That night, at dinner, he told me we were going to NYC the next day, because he had a special dinner planned for the two of us. Little did I know that our families had come in from TX, VA and PA to surprise me! After an amazing dinner with our families, my dad suggested we go down to the bar to grab a few drinks, and much to my surprise I walked in to find over 50 of our family and friends waiting to celebrate with us! It was a weekend full of love, laughter and a lot of surprises!"

On her wedding style:

"Classic, elegant and beautiful were the three words we used to describe what we wanted our wedding to look like. For the Catholic ceremony, we went with navy and white, because what's more classic and elegant than that?! For the Hindu ceremony, we really wanted to have a foundation of neutrals (champagne, off-white, navy) and add a pop of color with the reds and emerald green. As important as decor is to the overall atmosphere of the wedding, the most important thing to us, by far, was to making sure that both our customs and cultures were highlighted in the most inclusive way throughout the weekend. Because we both come from different backgrounds and practice different religions, we wanted to make sure every one of our guests understood how each of those aspects played a role in our lives and shaped who we are today."

Make sure to come back for the rest of the shaadi, where DJ RAJ Entertainment & Event Lighting brings us a day full of excitement!
