The blushing bride wore a long white wedding dress by Love Couture Bridal and got her flawless hair and makeup done by the incredible Caitlyn Meyer Professional Makeup Artist and Hair Stylist; then, it was time to head outdoors to take beautiful first look portraits with her Raja. Amelia Johnson Photography perfectly captured the tenderness between the two lovebirds as they said their I Do's; see the rest of the heartwarming moments in the full gallery!
Maharani Tracy on meeting her Raja and how she knew he was "the one":
"We met in high school when we were 14 years old! I knew he was the one right when we started dating when we were 22. We had spent so many years as best friends that things were so natural right away."
On the romantic proposal:
"I was traveling up to New York City to visit my sister for my spring break (I am a teacher). Ashiqul dropped me off at the train station and I arrived at my sister's place 3.5 hours later. We went to brunch and then went back to her apartment to take a nap. When we woke up she said we needed to get ready to go meet some of her work friends. We both got ready and we began walking to the restaurant we were meeting them at. We started walking through Central Park and my sister said the restaurant was in the middle of the park. Sounds silly now, but, I totally believed it. All of the sudden, I looked 5 feet in front of me and Ashiqul was standing on Bo Bridge staring at me. He got down on one knee and proposed! As it turns out, when he dropped me off at the train station he drove up to New York and him and my sister had the whole thing planned out."
On her wedding style:
"Our wedding was 'rustic chic.' We wanted light colored, beautiful flowers that were various spring colors."
On her favorite part of wedding planning:
"It was so wonderful to have a three part wedding and include both of our cultures. We had two Bengali events and one American style event. Everyone loved all of the events and had the opportunity to learn more about each of our cultures and family background."
On choosing her bridal lengha:
"My mother-in-law and sister-in-law helped choose my lengha. They are both very stylish and I trust them immensely! We purchased them off of the internet."
