Maharani Nazia, on meeting the Raja of her dreams, Asif:
"I met Asif through a mutual friend. He was living in Texas and I was living in Florida. We had a long distance relationship for 2 years before we were married. I knew Asif was the one fairly early on in the relationship. He was always there for me and very supportive of my goals in life. He also won my friends and family over which was a huge plus!"
On her and Asif's engagement:
"Asif and I had a formal yet intimate engagement ceremony in front of our closest family and friends in Florida. After a prayer given by a family friend, Asif proposed with a beautiful solitaire ring and my symbol of love to him was shown through the gift of a watch."
On what she enjoyed most about planning her Desi dream wedding:
"The process I enjoyed the most was dress shopping. I spent an entire day trying on different lenghas in New York. After deciding on the style I liked the most, the owner/designer from Armaan's Bridal was able to customize it according to the color I had in mind. It turned out gorgeous!"
On shopping for her dream wedding lengha(s):
"I knew that I wanted a lengha with intricate detail. A good friend of mine recommended Armaan's Bridal Boutique to me in New York so off I went to visit. I was planning on looking for a lengha for 4 days but found it on day one. I really wanted a mermaid style lengha and found it fairly quickly there. It was beyond my expectations."
On her hair and makeup:
"I had no idea what I wanted. I'm so low key when it comes to makeup. I just put all my faith and trust into my amazing makeup artist/hair stylist Sumaiya. I was so happy with the outcome."
