Maharani Mediha on meeting her Raja and how she knew he was "the one":
"I met Bilal through family friends. Being British I was both curious and excited about meeting this family friend from America. It was during our first meeting and conversation that I knew he was the one. His charm, modesty, and honesty had me intrigued. After a few meetings our hearts and minds connected to one another with a feeling of understanding, faith and happiness. The bliss of love cannot be compared, it is unique. Our mutual feelings connected and we both believed true love calls for patience, tolerance and forgiveness."
On the romantic proposal:
"Bilal came over to our house with a ring, tons of fresh roses and an assortment of desserts. His family and my family were there to witness this beautiful moment where he proposed to me and asked if I would spend the rest of my life with him."
On her wedding style:
"I always had a dream design in my mind for my wedding. I love orchids and lavender, pinks and magentas were always my desire for my wedding colors. I wanted these colors mixed with some gold, sequin and other neutral tones to create a warm, dreamy and unique atmosphere for my wedding. It was important to me to have warm lighting, many fresh florals and high and low glamorous table center pieces."
On her favorite part of wedding planning:
"I enjoyed every step of planning this dreamy event, from meeting the wedding planner to arrange the event to picking mini desserts and appetizers; everything was an adventure and enjoyable."
