Maharani Khatira on her favorite parts of the wedding:
"Getting ready with my girls was so much fun and like a dream. One of the most magical moments was our first look. We both had butterflies and I was nervous like I was going on some blind date. It was pure magic and unreal."
On their first dance:
"We danced to 'Young and Beautiful' by Lana del Rey."
On her wedding look:
"I didn't really have a hairstyle in mind. I let my hairdresser surprise me. I just wanted it all up. I trusted her and her talent. I wanted a clean look for makeup and wanted eyeliner and nude lips. My make up artist is amazing and I trusted her with my makeup."
On the most special detail:
"I wanted a picture of my dad on my bouquet. He was my best friend and I wanted him with me on my special day. My brother-in-law, sisters and mom helped find a great picture of him and helped put it in my bouquet charm so that my florist could place it on my bouquet. My dad was with me in spirit but I also had a beautiful picture of him with me as I walked down the aisle."
On the other details that made the wedding magical:
"My husband had a beautiful 1963 Rolls Royce pick me up. I had no idea and was totally surprised. He also gave my beautiful diamond studs as my wedding gift and I gave him a wonderful watch that he wore. I kept my jewelry simple and just wore my earrings from him. During our ceremony my mother gave him her wedding necklace, a beautiful long gold necklace and I cherish it so much because it has so much history. Our cake was delicious and from Beverly's Bakery. My wedding favors were jars of honey because in our culture, honey symbolizes sweetness in a marriage. It was a magical day and we had the time of our lives."
Have an amazing day, Maharanis! We'll be back tomorrow with a sublime shaadi that's sure to delight you!
