At Maharani Weddings, we see a lot of interesting weddings. However, this Maharani’s wedding took the cake, err, I mean, chalupa. What could that possibly mean? Read on as we spill the spicy details. In Perrysburg, Ohio, Hilton Garden Inn Toledo housed the venue for Maharani Anita’s Hindu wedding ceremony. Anita chose the non-traditional route of red and totally killed it in a turquoise and gold lengha. To say that this Maharani is unique, is an understatement; this girl rocks. Armed with her makeup team at Salvatore Capelli Salon, our bride donned an elegant, pinned up do that paired perfectly with her Jhoomar, a traditional Indian headpiece. The venue was draped in purple and green florals by Christopher and Company. Vaidehi Merchant created some really fascinating mehndi designs on the bridal party. Utsav Planners, Inc. was brought on to primp the planning and design and DJ Sandman led the baraat with the rhythm of the dhol. Head into the gallery for more fusion fun by Grand Lubell Photography and check out the fun interview we had with Maharani Anita below!

Maharani Weddings caught up with Anita as she gushed how Taco Bell made its way into their wedding.

Between the wedding and reception, we had booked a stretch hummer to take us all of out for a photo shoot by the river in downtown. However, our April wedding was greeted with snowfall and we couldn’t stand being out for long. Since the Hummer was already paid for, and Rahul and I had not eaten all morning. Taco Bell is one of my addictions, we decided to take everyone there. There were only a few customers in there, but as soon as they left, we quickly rearranged the tables and did our own Vogue-style photo shoot right there instead of the riverside. Friends who know my addiction to Taco Bell have all questioned whether it was intentional that our bridal party colors were TB's colors!

Make sure you return to check out the details on the reception party back at the Hilton Garden Inn.
