Welcome back sweethearts! Today’s Indian Wedding out of Columbus, Ohio celebrates the matrimony between Bobby and Kavitha. I couldn’t help but gush as to how this Maharaja proposed to his new bride. On a cold night in New York City, Bobby surprised Kavitha on the rooftop of a hotel near the World Trade Center. The rooftop was adorned with rose petals, candles and photos of their love journey, complete with two string musicians serenading one very shocked Kavitha. Both sides of the family celebrated with the newly engaged couple shortly after the romantic proposal. Sipping champagne on a rooftop in New York City? Kudos, Bobby! The couple held their Hindu wedding ceremony at the Hilton Columbus Downtown. In usual Indian fare, the baraat showed up in fashion atop a whimsical horse from Willow Wind & Carriage. The bride looked beautiful in a traditional soft red and gold saree. I love it when brides don a long side braid adorned with soft, white florals. This bride pulled this look off with the help of State of Face Makeup Artistry. The venue was also adorned in soft rose petals and a beautifully lit mandap by Sima Patel from Weddings InStyle. Make sure you return as we head to the Hilton Columbus Downtown where we celebrate cocktail hour and the reception!
