We made it through the week Maharanis! If you are a fan of the St. Regis resorts like we are at Maharani Headquarters, you are going to love this fusion Indian wedding out in Dana Point, California. This multi-cultural two day celebration out of Southern California, fused tradition with luxury at the opulent Monarch Beach Resort. The wedding commenced with a Santorini themed sangeet with an overwhelming crowd over 350 guests. The next day, guests attended the Catholic ceremony at the Mission Basilica where the bride wore a traditional white bridal gown. Tara Dowburd of Make-Up Therapy jazzed the bride up with a modern yet ancestral Indian look that fit perfectly with the wedding ceremony. The beautiful south indian bride then slipped into a customary burgundy and gold sari to wed her Sri Lankan groom, combining the aspects of South East Asian with a contemporary approach. Guests waded out to the outdoor courtyard where the Hindu wedding commenced under a floral mandap that strayed away from the traditional four point square style seen in most Hindu ceremonies. California most certainly has seen its fair share of heat waves! Guests witnessed the ceremony and beat the heat under designer peach and white linens decorated tent style by Wildflower Linen. The decor in this wedding was absolutely stunning to say the least. Shawna Yamamoto Event Design brought a team of experts that expertly executed the task of garnishing the outdoor venue in elegant floral decor. Wedding Elegance by Nahid, a premiere wedding and event designer based out in San Diego, designed the two day event and orchestrated a visionary, multifaceted event. Take a look into the gallery by Lin and Jirsa Photography. Truly a sight to behold!
The St. Regis is known for glitz and glamour but, the wedding reception you must return for is completely jaw dropping.
