Bengali nuptials are deep-rooted in traditions and customs, which makes the entire event flow like a riveting narrative. We were able to indulge in Puloma and Michael’s larger-than-life Bengali wedding thanks to Mari Harsan Studio's detailed coverage of every event. Hyatt Regency Reston housed the epic Sangeet, ceremony and reception. No one could love minimalistic decor doused in pastels and florals as much as we do, but this outré, maximalist outtake blew our minds! Leave it to Shagun Weddings to make an all-gold setup look anything but garish. The mandap frame remained the same for the reception, but the main stage area had a Moroccan-esque backdrop with royal purple embroidered drapes, golden arches, and peacock motifs on either sides. The couple’s love seat had a ton of regal elements, and raw silk red bolsters added an oomph. We were in awe of Puloma, who dazzled in a tangerine blouse paired with a fuchsia lehenga. Brides, take note, you want to get pieces that can double up as cove table separates and work even after your wedding festivities! The Beautique by Sapna enhanced Puloma’s look by focusing the most on her eyes, and letting her natural bridal glow take center stage. Loved how the bouffant and beach waves complemented Puloma’s chunky earrings. Michael looked super suave in his black Tarun Tahiliani Bandhgala with beaded embroidery on the collar. Planet DJ Productions elevated this flamboyant party with their fun Bollywood and pop numbers, while culinary artist KN Vinod of Indique Catering pleased everyone’s palates.
