Ah…how we love a good ole college romance that blossoms into an eternal love story! Especially when it comes with a Bollywood blockbuster-esque ceremony! Such was the story of Poonam and Nikul, whose nuptial bliss was planned by Tum Hi Ho Events and hosted in the Grand Marquis in New Jersey. A classic Moroccan vibe was inherent in the decor by Wedding Design, who set up a dull gold architectural mandap decked up with white and pink blooms. The silk drapes that alternated between brights like mustard yellow, neutrals like beige, and deep hues like purple and red, created a luxe and ethnic atmosphere. M4U Events' lighting elevated the richness and elegance. Erstwhile Pictures gave us such candid photos, and one such that comes to mind is where Nikul is playfully pulling Poonam towards him as part of the fun rituals during the ceremony. Speaking of the man and woman of the hour, Poonam and Nikul matched parts of their ensembles in shades of red and burgundy, like Nikul’s velvet Safa and Poonam’s velvet, embroidered blouse. Our Maharani wanted to go in a traditional route for her outfit, so she put two saris together instead of a lehenga-choli. We particularly loved the delicate, statement matha patti that adorned Poonam’s head, and her dewy coral makeup by Beauty by Shital. It was also amazing to see the groomsmen so perfectly coordinated in bright, solid cobalt blue kurtas with pink dupattas - such fun colors! Poonam was all praises for Sukhadia Caterers because they were super picky about their choice of caterer. “They were very detail oriented and tweaked every dish to our liking,” she added.
