It’s the classic love tale of high school sweethearts. From Taco Bell dates to prom then off to college, it was clear as day and the many moons that passed that Maharani Suchita and Sunny were destined soul mates. After Sunny’s surprise proposal, it was time for Suchita to build the ultimate wedding dream team. Although she planned many of her auspicious events herself, this Maharani knew that the next step would be to find a makeup beauty queen to help prepare her for the big day. Flawless Beauty by Pauline was the perfect makeup guru for this task and not only did she fine tune this bride in the beauty department, she also ensured that not a pleat was untucked on the bride’s gorgeous red and gold lengha. Sunny’s baraat came storming into the Addison Park NJ led by Ultimate Soundz by DJ Manish. The bride and groom wed under a snowy white and gold draped mandap with a single gold chandelier fashioned by Abhishek Decorators. Cavallini Films by Joe Cavallini got in on the live action and Manish & Sung Photography caught all the stills you can find floating in the gallery. We have a treat with the bride spilling details on planning on her big day down below!
How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Sunny and I met in high school ten years ago. He was a Senior, I was a Junior, and we just clicked! We began our story as just two teenagers that liked each other: we hung out together with mutual friends, went to see movies, had Taco Bell dates, used too many minutes on our phone plans, and eventually we went to prom together. When he went off to college, we continued our relationship as a long distance one, which ended up lasting almost eight years through different schools, different jobs, etc. But we grew together, stayed together and made it official two years ago when he proposed! I'm pretty sure I knew back in high school that Sunny was "the one," but every year following it became more and more obvious that we belonged together!

I flew over to visit Sunny in Carlsbad, California over Thanksgiving week of 2014. Little did I know, he had some big things planned for us! Sunny mentioned that he had booked a small dinner cruise that his coworkers recommended to him via Groupon, and he had told me to bring the dress that he had gifted me for my birthday. This sounded great to me, but I was completely unsuspecting about any larger plans. Early on November 26th, Sunny and I drove down to La Jolla to see Louis Kahn’s Salk Institute. I'm an architect, so in my opinion this was already becoming a perfect day. That evening, we drove down to San Diego and over the Coronado Bridge for our cruise. A man met me and Sunny on Coronado Island and took us on a small raft to a larger sailboat. It turned out that this alleged “Groupon dinner cruise” was actually a private boat that Sunny had booked for just the two of us. And so we sailed out under the Coronado Bridge towards Tijuana. Just as the sun was setting, Sunny got down on one knee, and I was speechless before I finally said “uh…first of all…YES!”
We are coming right up with the wedding and reception where Moghul Caterers dishes out delectable Indian food to hungry guests! See you in a jiffy!
