There is no doubt that the beautiful union of Raashi and Akhil has made us sigh more than one time! It’s just so adorable how Wildcolors by abi brilliantly shot the simple moments of affection between these two and the cute stares into each other’s eyes that seriously warm our hearts! To celebrate their once-in-a-lifetime event, the newlyweds moved indoors of the Huntcliff River Club to have an unforgettable first dance that kicked off the wedding celebrations! For his big night, the downright dapper groom Akhil opted for a midnight blue tuxedo with black lapels and bow tie, just the right amount of glam and formality. Bride Raashi showed off her impeccable taste by choosing a full white lehenga outfit paired with an exquisitely embroidered jacket that she removed later on to have a comfier outfit to hit the dance floor. Pot Bharoon Atlanta delivered a gorgeous paisley wedding cake design with a cute cake topper of the newlyweds, it was later offered as the dessert for the tasty Indian dinner catered by culinary experts of Cafe Bombay Restaurant and Catering. What a truly memorable occasion! Peruse through our full gallery to see more of this good-looking Indian wedding party.

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
The yearly summer trips to Kisumu, Kenya were Akhil's favorite time of the year! Even though he had no clue he was about to meet the best thing that will ever happen to him on those trips (Yes, this is written by Raashi). He loved those family picnics and safaris his family and their friends went to during that time. Raashi, during those trips, was just another family friend in Akhil's eyes.

How We Met - Part Two (Fast-forward to 2014)

Fall of 2014, they reconnected at Akhil's cousin and Raashi's family friends wedding. Akhil being the bad influence he is (that's right), suggested they take tequila shots. Apparently, Akhil asked for Raashi's number later that night (Raashi cannot comment because...ahem... memory loss). Numerous texts and phone calls later, they decided it was inevitable they meet; which led to their euro-trip, Akhil moving to Atlanta, proposing and wedding festivities!

The man went all out! Fancy dinner date, helicopter ride around downtown Atlanta, and then back to my place where he had set up candles and roses all over. He then went down on one knee to pop the question!... and I said YES.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
We wanted a very intimate wedding from the get-go! One thing we both decided on was a very naturistic venue which wasn’t very hard to find. We wanted an Indian wedding but a very western reception... and everything turned out just the way we pictured it!

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
The bridal lehenga as well as my stunning reception dress was designed by the fabulous Nikhila Anchala! Check out her amazing work. She put forth such an effort and basically read my mind and knew exactly what I wanted from the moment we spoke. We worked together like magic. Her Instagram handle is @nikhila.anchala.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
Finding amazing vendors to work with. From photography with “Wild colors by Abi” to lehenga planning by “Nikhila Anchala”. These amazing people bent over backwards to make it all happen for us.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
The intimacy of it, the venue and the food!

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
Seeing my fiancé waiting down the aisle for our first look pictures.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
