Happy Monday loves! Chandni and Amol decided to hold the most important day of their lives at the beautiful Brooklake Country Club in New Jersey. The wedding day was glorious for Chandni to start getting ready and wisely chose the renowned beauty artist Makeup by Anita to assist her through the whole Maharani transformation process and to fill all her beauty needs before her stellar moment! As soon as she was ready, she met her prince Amol in an intimate first encounter where Ami Video photographed the lovely first glance in a superb outdoor photo session prior to the ceremony. The solemn moment arrived under a dreamy draped mandap designed by Abhishek Decorators who skillfully balanced the blue and beige color scheme ornamentation. The guests observed the many sacred rituals of spiritual significance that made Chandni and Amol husband and wife and you can relive every rite of the charming union in our full gallery!
How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
I actually first met Amol in elementary school! We grew up in the same town, but he moved during his sophomore year of high school. Fate brought us together during college; we always had similar mutual friends, but then one day, Amol started a conversation with me on Facebook and the rest was history! We clicked instantly and days turned into weeks and weeks turned into years. 6 years later and he still gives me butterflies!! Our relationship never required any hard work; Amol and I were definitely meant to be.
Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
During Thanksgiving 2016, Amol and I took our first solo trip to Napa Valley and San Francisco (in CA). I'm a wine lover and naturally, made him fall in love with wine so this was a perfect time to visit vineyards and get a new experience. I had NO idea that he planned to propose, let alone on day 1 of our trip in Napa. It was such a wonderful surprise and we celebrated our engagement the rest of the trip. He couldn't have proposed in a better spot and Domaine Carneros will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
My mom and I flew to India for all of the wedding shopping and right of the bat, I knew I didn't want to have the traditional bridal lengha colors. Red, green, and white just didn't seem unique enough for my personality. When I tried on the coral pink/orange outfit, I knew this was what I would get married in. Hand stitched work without any extra jewels or bedazzlement; a very beautiful and unique outfit. With the royal blue border on my dupatta, it was a perfect way to adorn my bridal party in royal blue and gold outfits. The colors worked so beautifully during the fall wedding - it was all meant to be!
What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Our wedding was fun. Plain and simple. Great food, great music, and a great atmosphere made for a wonderful time. All of our vendors played a huge part in contributing to the wedding which is why everything fell into place. We wouldn't have changed a single thing.
Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Future Brides-To-Be:
Relax. At the end of the day, it's a wedding and it's just a huge party. If you have the right guidance by your parents and maid of honor, then there is NO reason for you to stress out all the time! Trust me, I know you will stress no matter what, but just breathe and don't panic when you see the list of everything that you need to do. Come up with a clear and concise budget for the entire wedding because costs come up left and right - with this in mind, you can cater to all needs and not break the bank! At the end of the day, have fun. This time flies by SO QUICKLY and you'll want to re-live your wedding over and over and over again. I know I do :)
