Get comfy ladies, here is the fabulous final part of Mansi and Neel’s wedding festivities! Today’s Maharani, Mansi looked picture perfect for her stellar evening in a dreamy white and gold lehenga and I’m particularly amazed by the large green emerald beads necklace she flaunted that flawlessly contrasted her trousseau color. Our dapper groom Neel, opted for a blue tuxedo that he combined with a pair of elegant shiny shoes, just the perfect splash of elegance! Platinum Dream Events’ planning team executed a breathtaking event but also a perfect celebration of love for the newlyweds and their families at the Hanover Marriott. The venue exuded grace and refinement thanks to the romantic centerpieces that included dozens of floating candles that accented the lighting of the hall, all designed by the brilliant team of Nirali Decor. Take a look at all the big moments of this traditional Indian affair, from the getting ready scenes to the dance floor moments thanks DJ Showtime Events, we bring you all in our fabulous gallery courtesy of House of Talent Studio!
How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
We met at Rutgers University - Livingston campus in Undergrad. I knew he was the one ever since I met him. Granted we didn't date until a few years after meeting each other for the first time, but fate kept us running into each other throughout the years until he eventually asked me out. I've been a Bollywood fan my entire life and he was the "Abhishek Bachan" I've always wanted :)
Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Neel proposed to me in Princeton, NJ which is where we had our first day. He proposed to me the day after his residency match day and the day before my birthday. It was one of the MOST perfect weekends of my life. He had the whole day planned out with the perfect details and truly made me feel like the princess I've always wanted to be.
Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
I always followed different pages on social media. My phone was my best friend because I had saved everything I wanted for my wedding on my phone. I showed vendors pictures of the vision in my mind. My vendors were excellent. I got the elegant wedding I wanted and Makeup by Shaili made me look flawless.
How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I was always browsing pictures of different outfits on websites, blogs, and Instagram and when the time came for me to try on outfits, I went with what "felt like the one!"
What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The most enjoyable part is DIY projects. Majority of the little detail stuff, I made at home. Seeing people you haven't seen in years, come together for our wedding was also a very precious moment.
What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
The food, music, and the venue
Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
Yes, during the chair game of the ceremony, Neel picked me up and sat down on his chair with me in his lap.
For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
I had my mehndi and vidhi ceremony back at my house in Maryland. Those events were smaller than the garba and actual wedding, but it was great to be home with loved ones.
Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Take a few minutes the day before the wedding and spend it with your "soon-to-be-husband" just taking in the moment. Neel and I just sat down the day before the wedding, held each other's hand, took a deep breath and just enjoyed that moment.
Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
All my vendors worked together well to make us feel special. I got all my outfits and jewelry from India. Hanover Marriott team was incredible. I had my mehndi done by a local artist in Maryland. We made the bouquets the day before the wedding.
Have a wonderful Thursday, loves!
