How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Ronak & I met about six years ago at Bentley University. He was a sophomore in college, and I was a freshman.

We slowly became friends after spending time together during board meetings for SASA (South Asian Student Association) and started to hang out. He became one of my best friends, my confidante, and my go-to person for pretty much anything and everything. We pulled countless amounts of all-nighters hanging out, numerous drives to and from Boston, and multiple late night food runs.

Soon after, he transferred back to NYC and I transferred to Northeastern University, but we still managed to keep in touch. He would always come up to Boston to see his old friends, and we would make it a point to hang out, especially whenever I went back home to NJ. We constantly talked all day, every day, and even late night phone calls about life that lasted all night.

Somehow that best friendship turned into a budding romance and on July 4, 2012, he asked me to be his girlfriend by the Brooklyn Bridge in New York. That was just the beginning of our epic love story. The day he asked me to be his girlfriend, I was so hesitant because we were such close friends, especially because he said that I was the girl he was going to marry and being 20 years old, that scared me. But we gave it a shot and ended up telling our families very soon after. I think the moment I told my family about him, I knew this would be something long-term.

Some of the best memories of my life were spent with Ronak in those years of dating, and the best one yet was on April 29, 2016, when he surprised me on a beautiful rooftop at the Kitano Hotel in NYC by asking me to spend the rest of my life with him. Forever is a long time, but I couldn't ask for anyone better to spend it with.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
As someone who had been in a relationship for a very long time, this wedding was something that I had been looking forward to since the time I knew this relationship would turn into marriage. That being said, I am a very picky person, I expect perfection, and I wanted to have the best possible wedding that I could have ever imagined. Wedding planning definitely is the most stressful time of every bride and groom's life but the day of was so worth it. The most important thing for us was finding the perfect venue. I really wanted a destination wedding and my husband wanted something more local. We found a middle ground in Atlantic City, NJ. The venue was absolutely stunning, overlooking the water, and everyone had to drive a few hours away and stay there for the weekend, so it worked out in both our favors. The venue itself was so beautiful that it really didn't need much dressing up, so I tried to be as elegant as possible when it came to the decor. Because the venue was surrounded by windows, I wanted something with mirrors to reflect that beautiful view. Hence, our beautiful mirror work mandap and reception stage. We kept the whole venue along with that mirror/crystal theme and Wedding Design did a stunning job in making our vision come to life. Even for the sangeet, because there were two cultures, Sindhi and Gujarati, we had the task of making it half Sangeet and half Garba, and the decorations were so neutral to both cultures and really made our Sangeet look beautiful as well.

We, as a family, have very high standards and needed everything to be perfect, especially the food and drinks. We shopped around at so many food vendors before selecting Mantra. From the tasting experience to the presentation of all the food, and everything in between was absolutely impeccable. It went with the elegance and poise of our wedding and reception theme overall and the execution was wonderful. We got such great feedback on the food and dessert spread.

In October 2017, I went to India for two weeks to complete all my wedding shopping. For those who have had Indian weddings, know that is a very aggressive timeline. We literally were up from early in the morning out shopping till the shops closed at night. We had a mission to accomplish and we were determined to finish it. India has so many options so it is very hard to pick just one thing for each event, and that was the most difficult part! We went to Bombay and Delhi and managed to do the entire families outfits, jewelry, gifts, favors, etc., all in just two weeks! It was a crazy, but fun trip. I went in thinking I knew what I wanted and left with something completely different! Trends are constantly changing, so even though my Pinterest board was helpful, it wasn't the end all be all!

We took a lot of time to meticulously plan this wedding, nearly 2 years in the making and I think that is the reason why we were able to plan each and every single detail so well. The small touches and personal details is really what made our wedding so unique and special, especially for all our guests.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
We all had an incredible time celebrating our wedding, but the thing we heard most from our guests, was that they had never been to a wedding where everything was so seamlessly executed, thanks to the 2 years of planning and help of our wedding planner and that they had never been to a wedding where they had experienced so much true love. I think that's a feeling that also resonated with Ronak and I as well throughout the week of events. There was just so much happiness and pure love and that's really the most important part of any wedding. The guests as well as us as a couple emulated so much love and you could really feel it throughout each event.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
As cliche as this may sound, I think the most special moment was our first look. Since Ronak and I lived together before our actual wedding, it was hard to hide things from him, especially my outfits and jewelry. But the one thing I managed to keep a surprise was my wedding ceremony outfit. I truly felt like a nervous, blushing bride on my walk to tap Ronak and the shoulder, and his reaction when he turned around was priceless. We were all smiles and both of us were tearing up because it truly was such an emotional moment. At that moment, I could actually feel the lifetime of love that we were about to commit to each other and it was such a happy and surreal moment that constantly replays in my mind.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
The process of wedding planning may feel tough and stressful, and it definitely is, but the day of is SO worth it, I cannot even explain the feeling. One thing I would say to all Brides and Grooms-To-Be as well is to soak in every moment of this process because it is over before you know it. At the reception, just stop and stand for a moment and take in a mental picture of everything going on around you because that's the event that goes by the fastest
