How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Isham and I met online! We chatted a bit, but I got caught up with work... and we didn't talk for a week. Ish sent a witty message, and that definitely caught my attention. We talked via text and on the phone for a few weeks before we had our first date (we both traveled a lot for work). On our first date, I was shocked that Ish brought me a present (a book!). He was charming, funny, and liked dark chocolate. We spent a lot of time together, and over the next few months, I knew that he was someone I wanted to do life with.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Isham and I love wine, and we love traveling to Napa Valley. During our second annual trip to Napa, we had planned on meeting up with an old friend of mine. She suggested that we visit one of her favorite vineyards, Tres Sabores. Tres Sabores is nestled in the hills of Napa, have dogs running around, and have excellent wines! What excited me was that they had a baby lamb that was recently born. We decided to walk towards the wine, I was so excited to see the lamb. The winemaker pointed out the "wedding tree," which was where she was married. I was too focused on the lamb, but when I turned around, Ish was down on his knee and proposing!

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.

Isham and I fell in love with Ponte Winery the moment we saw it! We knew we wanted to bring our friends and family to experience things we enjoy doing (wine, games, and great food), and we knew we did not want a traditional wedding. Ponte provided a naturally beautiful space and allowed us to plan a wedding of our dreams. Our theme was "Mira and Ish." We wanted it to be elegant, but fun; cultural, but not religious; and we wanted our guests to have a great time!

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
It took a long time! In Houston, we have a lot of amazing stores... but it's hard to find the "right one." I knew I wanted a red/maroon lengha... and after months of searching, I found the perfect one at Manyavar!

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
Trying the food!! It was close to the wedding, and it made it real! We served Indian food for our rehearsal dinner, and were blown away by Ponte's chef's recreation of our favorite, childhood dishes!

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Our unique ceremony. My husband and I are not religious, but we wanted to have a short, meaningful ceremony. We had our siblings (all 3 of them), officiate the ceremony. Our siblings are the three people will be by our side through the thick and thin of our marriage. Also, we wanted to have a component of our wedding that involved our parents. We came up with 7 blessings that we wanted to be the center of our marriage. Our 3 siblings and 2 sets of parents each read a blessing during the ceremony.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
I walked down the aisle to one of my favorite songs from the musical, The Phantom of the Opera. I didn't think that Isham remembered the song I chose... but I guess he did! His vows ended with a line from the song, which was incredibly beautiful and heartfelt.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Know what are the 3-4 things that are the most important to you and your groom, and stick to them. The rest, let it go... it really won't matter in the end! It's just a day, it will only be as special as you choose to make it.
