It is no secret that we have a thing for fusion weddings. They are always so full of mystic and charm that we just can't stop featuring them. Today, we have a couple that decided to tie the knot in grand style! And as we know, when that's the case, sparkly jewelry, color, and glam are just a few of the things to expect. The always on-point team from Photographick Studios visited Virginia to capture Samantha & Vick's union and is safe to say that today's gallery is overflowing with ideas and creativity. This gorgeous gala was planned and designed by none other than Sagina Wahi from SW Events, who did an amazing job for an amazing couple. How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
I was introduced to Gurvikram (Vick) through a mutual friend. We dated for 8 years before we got married. Vick was terrified of dogs growing up in India. I knew he was the one when we got our golden retriever (Bean) as an 8-week old puppy and he fell in love with her. He has been obsessed with her, and every other dog on the street, ever since.

When we lived in Philadelphia for graduate school, we used to take our dog for walks in Washington Square Park. One day he told me he was taking me for dinner and he wanted to walk through the park. As we walked through the park, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. He had hired a photographer who captured the perfect photos. And of course, our friends then brought Bean to get family photos as well!
Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
Wedding planning was crazy! We had an American wedding and Indian wedding, so it was double the fun but double the chaos. We had separate venues, hair & makeup teams, outfits, decor, everything. I mainly handled the American wedding while my amazing mother in law and sister in law handled the Indian wedding. We divided and conquered and everything eventually was completed. It was an amazing weekend thanks to everyone who helped, we couldn't have done it without them!
Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
The best part of the wedding was spending time with our friends and family. We all live such busy lives so it can be hard to see each other and connect. It was amazing to stand back and truly appreciate each and every person in the room and how much they mean to us. Our wedding would not have been the same without them!
Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
RELAX -- it will all be okay!! No one looks at your centerpieces anyway.

Instead of a cake, we did a donut wall, s'mores station, and ice cream sundae bar. It was so much more fun and everyone loves a good donut!
