Hey there, beautiful ones! Today we have a gorgeous Contemporary Fusion wedding coming from warm California! Anju & Adnan decided to tie the knot by the roaring ocean in a beautiful ceremony that mixed both of their backgrounds. The Pakistani and Hindu energies could be felt all around the beachside bash for sure! We are so loving how beautiful these two lovebirds look together, definitely meant to be! The exclusive The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel was looking at it's very best for the celebration and it had to be like that! We know that when a Maharani ties the knot, glam, elegance, and style are to be expected! Don't forget to check Maharani Anju's gorgeous white gown! Totally suited for a union by the ocean. So, ladies, let us get comfortable and enjoy this celebration of love thanks to Max & Friends' picture gallery!
We met online on shaadi.com and we talked for two weeks straight before we met in San Francisco! He happened to be on a road trip to see the Eclipse and we spoke for hours when he was driving. On our first date, he took me to a beautiful restaurant and for a walk along the water. Two days later, he picked me up and took me to a sound healing session with yoga mats. I knew by the end of the time talking and the two dates that we had a huge connection and that we fit in many different ways.

He took me to the bodega bay lodge and when we checked in, the person was like - “It was so nice spending so much time talking to you on the phone.” I thought that was strange. We went to the room and there were chocolate strawberries and champagne, so I started getting excited. The next day he booked massages and took me to a really nice dinner. Nothing. So I thought maybe I was wrong. After we checked out of the hotel, we went on a hike to the top of bodega bay and he bent down on one knee and proposed. I ran down the hill to call my sister and then we stopped at a fish and chips store at the bottom of the hill. One of the sweetest meals ever!
Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
I’ve always loved the Ritz Carlton in laguna and have wanted to get married there since I was little. We wanted to have the wedding ceremony overlooking the ocean and then move inside for dinner. Bliss productions was our planner and we had a great time working together. Flowers were done by White Lilac and the colors were pink, cream and gold. Our invitations were made by Tange design and I loved them.
I loved the moments with my family. My mom, who is eighty, went with me to try on dresses with my sister and niece. It was so special to have them all there. My sister threw me a gorgeous bridal shower with so many thoughtful details. It was just all the family closeness that was really special. I also loved taking dancing lessons with my husband and practicing the dance.
What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
They loved the Indian dance performers!!!
Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
After the ceremony, we went down to the beach to take photos with the three dogs and the sun was setting. The dress and veil got drenched in mud but it was such a special time between us, just newly married.
Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Be grateful for those who are present with you in the process. Pick the two things that matter to you and let the rest go. I picked - getting to marry Adnan and I was so grateful my mom and dad were both there to watch, considering they were both 80. Knowing what mattered, made everything else easy.
Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
I loved so many of the details. The wedding invite had bees and sea horses because those are two things my husband loves. Our cake topper had metal cutouts of all three dogs, all three dogs walked down the aisle and my husband's dog wore a scarf that said: “I loved him first.” Our gifts for guests was “Fuzzys Honey.” My husband's dog is named Fuzzy and he makes honey, so it was a sweet gift. We had a gold confetti canon which was a fun surprise. And one of my favorite design elements was that the tables for dinner were clear, filled with water and had petals inside!
