Good morning, Maharanis! We are heading to the end of another fabulous week, and we don't want to conclude it without giving you the dose of inspiration that you need. Today, we have a double feature of the gorgeous wedding between Bhanu & Nithin. If you are thinking of planning a Bollywood style wedding, you have come to the right place, as you will be amazed by this phenomenal event hosted at The Fillmore Theater Detroit. This unique venue was specially picked by our lovebirds to celebrate their beautiful South Indian union. Utsav Planners, Inc thoroughly planned and organized every detail of this celebration, taking our lovely duo's vision and transforming it into a dream come true. Outstanding job! And we want to take a moment to appreciate all the beauty surrounding this big event that centered around Bhanu & Nithin and their commitment to start an everlasting married life through their traditional South Hindu ceremony. This was a memorable moment that will remain in the hearth of every guest and, of course, in the heart of Bhanu & Nithin's. Today, you will enjoy the talent of Killer Creations Photography and Cinematography, both with the fantastic film that you can check here and also with the fabulous shots that immortalized every moment of this ceremony and that we have compiled in today's gallery. So make sure to check it out!
Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
Venue: Fillmore, Detroit, MI
Decor Theme: Royal Palace, traditional South Indian
We wanted a venue where we could implement all South Indian traditions as well accompany a large number of guests. The most important part about Fillmore is that it allowed us to decorate the the venue without restrictions and allowed us to have our own catering. The venue itself is quite traditional and encompassed gold architecture.
How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
It is South Indian tradition to wear gold with red/Burgundy kanchipuriam saree for wedding ceremony. The color is to symbolize purity, prosperity, and fertility. The saree was purchased at Kanchipuriam, Tamil nadu. For the reception, the theme color was rose pink. Bridal lengha was by Tarun Tahiliani from Bangalore, Karnataka.
What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The decor was the most enjoyable part. I spent countless hours into research upon designs I had envisioned. I wanted something unique and exquisite. There was a lot of detail that went into each centerpiece, mantaps, design of the cake, etc.
Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
