How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Noy and I first met at an engagement party nearly 11 years ago, we were on opposite sides of the bridal party. We spent the night dancing around each other, “unintentionally” bumping into one another, and sharing many looks. But at that moment while unknowingly falling for each other we didn’t realize that Noy resides in the US, and I am from Canada! A couple of weeks after the event, Noy sent me an email, and instantly we knew what we had was good, and we did everything in our favor to make it work. I knew Noy was the one when he would drive 8+ hours to only see me for a few, sometimes we couldn’t see each other months, but we supported and loved each other deeply and found ways over the 500 mile distance.
Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Noy and I both come from very large, close knit families. I had mentioned to Noy a few times, why it was important to me to have our parents there when he proposed. In 2016 (after 7 years of long distance), I decided to move to New York City and pursue my masters. In 2018, at my grad school graduation, surrounded by our parents, and our siblings, Noy got down on one knee and officially ended the distance between us. Our siblings were in on the surprise and did everything they could to help Noy make the proposal a special one. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. As I screamed “YES!!”, I looked around and saw our families overfilled with Joy.
What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The most enjoyable part of the planning process was Noy and I working together through out. Planning a wedding could take a toll on you, but Noy and I constantly reminded each other that we were a team. From flying back and forth between Toronto and New York for trials and fittings, to cake tastings and dance classes, I wouldn’t change a thing of how it all came together for us.
Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
Both Noy and I look back and remember the moment as we got ready for our reception. Just the presence of each other in the room felt different, this time we were together as husband and wife. I remember sharing looks from across our suite, watching Noy put his cuff links on that he so proudly picked out, it melted my heart. It was a moment in time, that we will always look back to and remember as we got ready for the most important night of our lives.
Don't miss the magical outcome from this wedding. So visit us again. You will be amazed!
