TGIF, beautiful Maharanis! The end of this fabulous week is here, and we don't want to end it without presenting you with a beautiful event that, without a doubt, will take your breath away. On this installment, we will unveil the beauty that surrounded Esha & Vineeth's engagement ceremony. To begin this journey, let me take you to Detroit, MI, at the exclusive MGM Grand Detroit to relive this magical moment. Right from the bat, we admired how everything was perfectly trimmed and executed. Utsav Planners, Inc. is the mastermind behind the scene, as they took the vision from our lovebirds and created the event of their dreams. Just fantastic! You will love every detail performed at the ceremony before the party, which we will present to you in our next episode. We should thank heaven for the enormous talent from Irvin Sidhu Fine Art Photography Studio, who made sure to capture every emotion and unique moment of the night and transform it into a phenomenal photo gallery. If you are in the pursuit of inspiration, you are in the right place. We hope you enjoy this feature as much as we did, as there is nothing quite as beautiful as the beginning of a love story!
Detroit, MI Indian Engagement by Irvin Sidhu Fine Art
How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Vineeth and I met when I interned in Seattle for Boeing one summer and he was already working for Amazon. We met while we were out with friends and got drinks together shortly afterwards. We hung out almost everyday that summer and continued our relationship even after I went back to school. We did long distance for two years and once I graduated I moved to Seattle for work! I knew he was the one when he came over to my parents house for Diwali dinner and met my grandpa. My grandpa was one of the most important people in my life and once I saw how he loved vineeth I knew he was the one.
Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Vineeth had my family and closest friends fly out to Seattle to surprise me. He took me to our favorite park in Seattle (South Lake Union Park) and proposed while my family and friends hid in the bushes. Afterwards everyone came out and then we went on a boat cruise around Seattle for dinner! When vineeth asked me he showed me a drone video he had filmed on his last trip to Hawaii. He had “Marry me BAEdi?” written in the sand and the drone flew up to show the quote.
Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
My mom is a wedding planner in Detroit (Utsav Planners) and took care of everything for our engagement party! Everything went so smoothly that vineeth and I barely stressed. I knew the venue I wanted had to be the MGM due to the elegance of their ballroom. Since it was an engagement party the ring theme worked perfectly and all the decor followed. When we walked in to the ballroom the first time our minds were blown at how regal and beautiful it all looked.
How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I went shopping in India for my outfit and found a few I loved. My Chaachi (Mira Bedi) is a designer and had my favorite outfit made for me and surprised me with it. The best part about it....it had pockets! I didn’t lose my phone the whole night.
What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
My favorite part of the planning was the decor and seeing the ring theme come to life in person! Going from hearing ideas and concepts to seeing it in real life was so much fun.
What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
They loved the dancing and decor. Everyone was in awe when they walked in to the ballroom.
Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
When we did the engagement Shagan on stage and vineeth’s mom gifted me the dupatta and she put it on me.
Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Enjoy the party! Once it gets going nothing else matters, dont stress and have fun.
Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
My mehendi was done by Henna by Krupa and it came out so dark and it was gorgeous.
We have more for you. So don't miss the phenomenal outcome of this love story!
