Good morning, Maharanis! We hope you are having a safe day. This fabulous week is almost over, and we don't want to end it without bringing you a charming love story overflowing with inspiration. Today we are taking you to Somerset, NJ, to unveil the beauty surrounding Ashima & Anurag's wedding festivities. To begin this journey, let me take you to The Palace at Somerset Park, the ideal venue chosen by our lovebirds to celebrate their long-awaited wedding ceremony. Studio Sheen Event Planning (Harsheen Kaur) took care of the planning of this magical event, and let me tell you that the way they orchestrated it was so amazing that it seemed like taken out from the pages of a fairy tale story. Speaking of fairy tales, you will be delighted by the beauty that Ashima, our gorgeous Maharani, showcased during the entire wedding events. She trusted the talent and skills of Glamorous Vibes for her beauty needs. And what a great decision it was, she looked ravishing! She took her glamorous look to the next level with fabulous bridal attires from Asopalav, which added an extra touch of traditional flair to our lovely bride. And let's not forget about the phenomenal Mehndi design Ashima got from the good friends at Mehndikalogie. Art and tradition at its best! The celebration concluded with a vibrant reception party enlivened by DJ Sunny Entertainment and Platinum Booths, who made everyone dance the night away. To relive this moment, make sure to take a look at the marvelous shots by Pearl Paper Studio in today's gallery.
How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
We met through friends in NYC
Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
I had a lot of help from my cousins who had recently gotten married and used their vendor lists as a starting point. I had a Pinterest board with my vision and I shared that with our vendors, who made it come to life!
How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I had a completely different look in mind for my bridal lengha (I wanted something more modern, with a pastel color palette) but everything I tried on didn’t have the wow factor. I finally agreed to look at some more traditional colors and found the perfect one!
What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
I love organizing and planning things, so the entire process was enjoyable!
Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
We spent over a year planning and organizing every little detail, and it all leads up to a day that goes by in the blink of an eye - so try your best to enjoy it when it’s here!
If you want to get more inspiration, make sure to visit us tomorrow! You will be amazed.
