Happy Friday, Maharanis! We just reached the end of this fabulous week, and we don't want to end it without filling your life with the inspiration needed. Today we are pleased to unveil all the beauty that surrounded Jennifer & Ankit's wedding festivities. To begin this journey, let me take you to the exclusive Hyatt Regency Columbus, the perfect venue chosen by our lovebirds to tie the knot. Right from the top, we want to highlight the phenomenal talent of B3 Event Management. Who provided an excellent service, crafting the ideal decoration for each ceremony and celebration, the marvelous lighting at the hall, the delicious food served at the wedding reception, and of course, they were the mastermind behind the excellent planning of this celebration. Just the perfect combination! Our gorgeous Maharani walked down the aisle with such a royal look, dazzling everyone at the hall. She made the right call by trusting Formality Onsite Hair and Makeup By Tiffany Chan and Terri Norris - Angles Hair and Salon for all her beauty needs. Just marvelous! Today you are invited to enjoy all of these details in today's gallery, thanks to the photos captured by Making the Moment Photography that, along with the talent from Veda Films, who created a phenomenal film, made sure to embrace each emotion from the celebration. I'm confident that you will love it as much as we did!
How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Ankit and I met on the online app Coffee Meets Bagel. He lived in Philadelphia and I lived in DC. For our first date, he drove down and we went to brunch at a DC restaurant followed by visiting a museum and walking around the city. I was sick with a cold so I left shortly after! I knew he was "the one" when he met my family and friends and I realized how much everyone loved him.

My sister and brother-in-law flew in from out of town for a fun weekend. I had booked brunch at one of my favorite DC restaurants. A few days before, the "restaurant" cancelled our reservation. I was distraught and called the restaurant to fix our reservation, and called several times that week to make sure it was still standing. On our way to the restaurant, I realized we were going the wrong direction. We stopped and got out at the restaurant of our first date. He proposed and then Ankit's brother, sister-in-law, and cousin showed up for an entire family affair! Needless to say we never made our reservation!
Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
We hired B3 events to help with our decorations and wedding coordination. My hair was done by Terri Norris at Angles Salon in Marion, Ohio. My makeup was done by Tiffany at Formality Hair and Makeup. My outfits were bought in India. Our DJ was DJ Vikas at Opening Minds Entertainment/Be Somebody. Our wedding venue was the Hyatt Regency in downtown Columbus, Ohio.
How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I bought all of my outfits from India. I knew I wanted a traditional South Indian sari that was red for the wedding, but other than that I really had no idea or "plan" of what I was looking for. I picked my Sangeet lengha because it was Ankit's favorite colors. I picked my reception dress because I liked it!

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The food tasting :)
What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Most loved the dancing, especially the Sangeet/Garba. They say that they loved the food, the DJ/dancing, the performances, and family time.
Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
The dancing and how much fun we had with our families and friends who don't get to see often. We also had a great afterparty filled with lots of Taco Bell!
For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
For the Sangeet/Garba, we had a more relaxed vibe with "cabanas" and casual seating. We also had a very cool entrance tunnel with a rickshaw for taking pictures. For the wedding, we chose to be simple and focused more on the Mandap. For the Reception, we went with a more relaxed theme with loungers on the stage for family and a simple, elegant vibe. And we also had a live photobooth.
Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Something will always go wrong--just expect it and go with the flow! Chances are, none of your guests will notice. I also recommend having a universal schedule and making sure multiple family members know what is going on to ensure everyone is on the same page and others are there to help communicate. Also, push for what you want, it's YOUR day!
Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)

We chose to use Costco sheet cake (tastes amazing) to serve to our guests and used a smaller cake to cut in front of our guests. We also had mini donuts (https://www.peaceloveandlittledonuts.com/locations/columbus) that our guests loved!
Please come back on Monday, we have something prepared just for you.
