Happy Friday, ladies! The end of another spectacular week is here, and we hope you are staying safe and healthy, enjoying the company of your close ones. Today, we are here to re-fill your cup with inspiration. We are pleased to share the beauty that surrounded Kinshuk & Ashish's wedding festivities. We must say that the great combination of talents between Sonam Kalra, who orchestrated every detail of the celebration and Diamond Decor, who amazed us with a marvelous decoration, gave a magical touch to this unique and unforgettable event. The exclusive halls of the LionHead Golf Club & Conference Centre hosted the memorable wedding ceremony, while The Grand Victorian Convention Center hosted the phenomenal wedding reception. Hands down, two stunning venues chosen by our lovebird's to celebrate their love union. Speaking about celebrations, Empire Entertainment was responsible for creating a fantastic party at the reception with a tremendous selection of beats and lights that everyone loved. Especially our lovely duo who rejoiced at every second of their big day. We are glad to count with the enormous talent of Aniket Sananse Productions. They captured every single emotion and intimate moment of this wedding and created a phenomenal gallery that will leave you sighing. So go ahead and visit it, you will love it!
Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
On the first date, they shared their love of pizza, books they’d read, late-night coffee by the docks, and dancing unapologetically.
On the second date, they shared their love of melted kulfis (brought from Brampton to Hamilton in a little cooler because #truelove), hikes through waterfalls, books they’d picked out for each other, and tacos.
On the third date, Ashish asked her to be his girlfriend; she was the only one who laughed at his bad jokes and got him to dance. She said ‘chill bro, go read a book’. So he read plenty.
And then he wrote one.
Four years later, amidst the bustling Christmas crowd eagerly awaiting the tree lighting ceremony at Eatons Centre in Toronto, he sneakily led her to the quiet Fiction aisle at Chapters with the help of Kinshuk’s siblings, Ishani and Akshay.
In between shelves adorned with the polaroids of their favourite memories dangling off wires, Ashish placed the first draft of his book which contained his perfectly crafted proposal in the author’s bio.
With the blessings of their parents, he popped the question. She said yes!
How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
Fun fact: I never tried on my bridal lengha or jewlery before it was bought! My sister (who is literally the best little sister anyone could ever ask for) did!
I knew I wanted a traditional red dress. Pinterest and Instagram were my friends as I scoured for ideas for designs. I wasn't able to go to India with my mom and sister, who actually bought everything for me. Probably for the best - their taste in fashion is fabulous! For instance, the bead finish on the blouse was my mom's addition
What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
I absolutely love planning and organizing, so the process was quite enjoyable! I also loved getting our families involved in the little details. Planning a wedding can also be taxing, and I am grateful for the support of our families in making those decisions.
Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
The gorgeous smiles on family and friends' faces and all the love we received! Honestly, seeing people so joyous gave us all the energy we needed throughout the week.
Also, I didn't expect to see so many people busting into dance moves at the end of our long wedding ceremony. It was one of the most epic dance parties I've ever attended!
Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
R. 1. It takes a village! Delegate, delegate, delegate.
2. Communication (even at the risk of over-communication) throughout the process is incredibly critical so that you can sit back and relax on your big day!
3. Things will never go 100% as planned. Know how you're going to roll with the uncertainty.
4. Lastly, take a moment to enjoy the days! It feels like you plan forever, and then the days go by so fast.
If we inspired you today, come back tomorrow as we have tons of inspiration prepared for you.
