Good morning, ladies! We hope you are ready to dive into a rollercoaster of emotions and traditional flair because Sapna & Maulik's wedding is going to make tour heart melt with tenderness and joy. So, get ready to be part of this inspiring story! The beautiful images captured by Peter Nguyen Studio are sure to put a smile on your face. The way they managed to immortalize the most beautiful moments of this wedding bash is impressive! There is no doubt that our two lovebirds were more than glad to have this photographic studio onboard taking shots that will remain to posterity. The traditional Hindu ceremony hosted at The Spice Garden overflowed with all the things we love: traditional decor, solemn and intimate moments, and lots of love. Although there was so much to admire, it was our lovely Maharani who stole the show. She amazed everyone as she walked down the aisle, looking like a princess dressed in her red lengha with golden embroidery designed by Sabyasachi. But that is not all! She took her bridal look to the next level, with a glamorous makeup and a sleek hairstyle designed by Dolled up by Lulu, which praised the adorable and captivating smile of our beautiful Maharani. Hands down, this was the wedding celebration Sapna & Maulik always wanted, and the best way to start their everlasting married life and their journey into their very own happily ever after. Darlings, if you want to take a closer look at all the beauty surrounding this wedding, do not miss today's jaw-dropping gallery! It is an absolute visual delight, and we are sure you will love it.
How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
I met my husband through family from my dad's side. I knew he was the one when we first started talking, we connected so well together. He sent me a message on September 2nd, 2018, I replied back 1 hour later. We started talking through message for a few weeks and from there everyday after that we were on the phone for at least an hour each night if not more. He's patient, kind, fun, smart, and an amazing husband. We would talk about random things from food to favorite places to pet peeves. He was living in Maryland at the time and I was in California. I invited him to fly out to Cali for my birthday weekend to get to know each other. Let me just say, I had NEVER done anything like that before, but if felt right and felt like I had known him forever. December 15th 2018 he proposed and we got married on June 27th 2020. I knew from the 1st phone call that he was "the ONE".
Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Ok, are you ready for this...this was the best/funny proposal EVER!! My boyfriend had planned this perfect proposal in San Diego with the sunset and music in the back. I had no idea, and knowing me I take forever to get ready, and I had messed up his plans with the sunset proposal. We still go to San Diego, and act like everything is normal, he than writes a note on his phone explaining to the person that will be driving the canoe, that I will be proposing to my fiancee. We stop in the middle of the water, where good pictures cannot be taken, I turn around and he's on his knees with the ring and I have this HUGE smile on my face and the "aww" moment. I give him the biggest hug and kiss with no words to describe how I was feeling.
Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
My overall experience was one big rollercoaster. At first, I thought I was going to cancel my wedding due to the pandemic situation. Luckily, I found the banquet hall "The Spice Garden" where I had my wedding held and was a magical moment that day. I had my hair and makeup done by Lulu (dolledupbylulu), who is an amazing/patient artist. My outfits were done in India, and I love the decor theme that I did. I was going for traditional look that also looked fancy and went with my lengha.
How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I selected my bridal lengha on the spot when I went to India in December. I had the color in mind and what kind of pattern that I was going for. I was going for a red traditional bride look because I knew what kind of jewelry I wanted to wear and how I wanted my makeup and hair style done. When it comes to shopping I am really peeky as to what kind of work it is or what color the blouse and dupatta will be. Doing shopping in India from Asopalav was amazing because I got all my outfits from there and I'm really happy with all of the outfits that I wore on the both days.
What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The most enjoyable part of the planning process was putting all of it together, from starting to the guest list to all the way to the decorations to choosing the food. It was like puzzle pieces coming together day by day with all the planning that was done by my family and I. I really enjoyed the planning process and got to experience/learn new ritual along the way.
What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
The guests loved the ceremony and the food.
Also, they loved the setup and how everything was organized and falling into place with the sitting arrangement.
Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
A special moment in my wedding that constantly replays in my mind is, when I walked down the aisle like a princess, knowing that I am marrying the love of my life who is going to be now my husband. Another special moment that constantly replays in my mind is when we did the pheras around the fire and promised to be with each other for eternity.
For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
I want to thank Vishal Kumar the owner of The Spice Garden, Peter Nguyen Studio and his team for the cinematography and the wonderful pictures. The decorations and the style of the set up was ABSOLUTELY fantastic. It was my wedding dream come true. A big shoutout to my girls who were my bridesmaids for the beautiful dances they did. The decorations were mind blowing and matched my outfit that I was wearing for the wedding day.
Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Work together
Don't rush through life's landmarks
Enjoy each other
laugh together
Never bring up mistakes from the past
Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
My mehndi was gorgeous and I really loved every small detail that was done to signify the love that I have for my husband. I had a stethoscope drawn with his initial "M" in the middle to show my love for him and that I LOVE HIM SO VERY MUCH?
That is all for today, darlings! See you tomorrow for a new lovely and inspiring story!
