Welcome back, Maharanis! We are glad you could join us today because we were dying to share all the lovely details surrounding Reema & Rahim's big wedding day. So, let's not wait any longer and jump right into it! We will begin our journey by joining our lovebirds at an outdoor photoshoot overflowing with lots of flair, elegance, and romance captured by the talented team from MnM Photography. Both Reema & Rahim looked flawless on their wedding attires, and the color palette they chose beautifully contrasted with the backdrop, creating fabulous shots that we can't stop seeing. Reema looked like a princess in her elegant Saree from Torani, very well complemented with the delightful makeup by Farah Silat - Farah's Hair & Makeup Artistry and the exquisite hairstyle that Valerie Lopez Hair & Makeup created for her big day! This royalty look was complete with the unique Mehndi designed by Noorin's Bridal Heena. It was utter perfection! After the photoshoot, a Nikkah ceremony held inside the Sheraton Austin Georgetown Hotel & Conference Center awaited Reema & Rahim. This intimate and elegant ceremony was the perfect setting for these lovebirds to share their love and commitment in the company of their family and friends. Once the Nikkah was over, it was time to celebrate this life-changing event! The decor gurus from Events by Faiza executed a fantastic job resulting in a dreamy reception featuring a pleasant environment full of delicate floral arrangements and exquisite details! Reema & Rahim had their first dance as husband and wife while the guests contemplated in delight. Between dances, sweet treats, and a soothing environment, this gala got to an end. Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Rahim proposed to me in a beautiful mountainous location in Olympic National Park in Washington. I had been telling him for years that there is no way he will ever be able to surprise me, but he got me. We were already going to the National Park and Seattle for a short trip, and I didn't really suspect anything since I figured proposing to me on a trip would be obvious. Also, it was his birthday that day! But he thought that would be perfect to throw me off since I wouldn't expect him to propose on his birthday. Anyway, we got up to the area where there was an amazing backdrop of snow covered mountains and we were there early for a hike on a weekday so no one was there other than 1-2 people. I wanted to take a picture of the scenery so we went out on a snow covered field. There was one person nearby with an actual professional camera so he pretended to ask her to take a picture of us with his phone, which we did. But the woman was actually a photographer he hired so next thing I knew he got down on his knee and I was so confused for a few seconds! It was perfect. He definitely surprised me, and still gloats about it to this day. :)
How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I knew I wanted a ivory type color for both my nikkah saree and my reception outfit. For my saree, I found a gorgeous saree from Torani online and they helped me customize to make minor changes. For my reception outfit, I knew I would definitely be getting from PanachebySharmeen in Houston, TX. She helped me design the outfit based on a couple pictures I found as inspirations. I didn't have a specific vision at the beginning, but she sent a sketchup of the entire design, and I loved the end result. Everything came out perfectly.
What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Many of our guests, and us, were in love with the Decor by EventsbyFaiza. Faiza executed our vision of the stage perfectly and made the rest of the room look even better than we initially envisioned. The colors and design were elegant and modern to give us the exact vibe we were hoping for. Secondly, our guests loved the dance floor! Shout out to DJ Mo-T for doing such a great job. Even towards the end of the night, nobody wanted to stop dancing!
Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
The wedding will go by so fast, it almost feels like a blur! Definitely enjoy every moment of it. On the day of, don’t let the stress of planning and anything else get to you. Just let it go, and have fun!
Stay tuned if you don't want to miss any of the romantic love stories we have for this week!
