Braselton, GA Indian Fusion Wedding by Haring Photography

After Ketki and Ryan’s sunshine drenched ceremony, the twosome couldn’t wait to head indoors to celebrate their newly married status with their nearest and dearest! The Debussy Ballroom at the  Château Élan was decked out in oodles of pink hued gorgeousness by Utopian Events, with planning and design impeccably executed by Crimson Bleu Events. Electricity was in the air the moment that guests entered the reception space, and celebrations immediately blasted off into a blur of dancing, singing, and sentimental speeches. Ketki and Ryan looked like Hollywood royalty, with Ryan in a dapper tux and Ketki in a bejeweled, golden gown by Image Boutique Shop by Surinder Bedi. They dazzled the crowd with their first dance, and caused every single guest to rise and cheer! We loved everything about Ketki’s reception look, from her sparkling makeup to her side swept waves by Gunn Glamour Hair, Makeup, & Bridal. Guests noshed on cuisine throughout the festivities from Cafe Bombay Restaurant and Catering, and danced up a storm when WeGoDisco took center stage and cranked up their signature blend of Bollywood and Top 40 tunes. We hope Ketki and Ryan have a life filled to the brim with fun and adventure (Have we mentioned that they’ve already traveled to six continents?). Take a peek in the full gallery with photos by Haring Photography to relive the magical festivities.

We’re in love with every aspect of the charming Southern wedding of Ketki and Ryan. It took place at the Château Élan, with different events held at various areas of the gorgeous space. The festivities consisted of a jam packed three days, with their Christian ceremony taking place outdoors on the lawn, while the Hindu Ceremony took place inside the Atrium. Adding to the beauty was the planning and design efforts by Crimson Bleu Events and floral and decor concepts by Utopian Events. We also must mention Maharani Ketki’s bridal look, which consisted of a diaphanous white gown and bombshell hair and makeup by Gunn Glamour Hair, Makeup, & Bridal. This adventurous couple were thrilled to finally knot, with Ryan saying, “Ketki keeps me excited about the future. She is always planning our next big trip or just our next weekend. She has a cheerful zeal for life that makes people gravitate toward her and I love being a part of it.” Aw! Likewise, Ketki had lovely words for Ryan. “Ryan is truly the definition of a gentlemen - he is ‘calm, cool, and collected’, well spoken, well-traveled, and most importantly a major foodie. What can I say other than I'm the luckiest girl in the world to have found him!” Lovelies, peruse the full gallery by Haring Photography to find so much wedding inspiration for your own special day!

Dallas, TX Pakistani Wedding by Nida Rehman Photography

I have to say that Maharani Marium and her adorable beau Asad’s sangeet has completely taken my breath away. The bride reigned supreme in a gorgeous wedding gown that was a creation of jewelled nawabi impressions and motif handiwork; blending culture artistry and modern redesign. Hair and makeup by JTorry Makeup and Hair Artistry flawlessly executed a bridal look that most Pakistani brides would marvel over. Shimmering gold eyelids and bold, red lips was to die for. The Omni Dallas Hotel was outfitted with Weddings by Farah magic touch. One of my favorite elements of the wedding was copious blooms of purple, pink and lilac colored florets that was arranged on each table. The sweetheart stage with a shimmering backdrop also was absolutely breathtaking. Guests took it to the photo booth from I Love Flipbook to create memories of their own. DJ Scoop of Desijunction churned out the latest Bollywood hits and curated the perfect playlist for the guests. The catering menu of the night was specialized in house and Therese Cole Hubbs truly designed the ultimate blueprint for a fab sangeet event. Head into the gallery captured by Nida Rehman Photography alongside Inspired Effects who got in on all the live action.

Pittsburgh, Fusion Indian Wedding by Elizabeth Craig Photography

For Mahrani Amrita it was all about the bonding experience, exploring her Indian culture and interfusing two backgrounds to form the most perfect union. We would have to say that she most certainly succeeded! Maharani Amrita knew that in order to make her dream wedding come alive she would have to construct the perfect dream team. No one could have envisioned this bride’s dream more expertly than Erin from Divine Celebrations & Events. For a harmonious fusion of multiple days of events, this wedding planner certainly knows her way around the velvet ropes. Amrita’s reception resumed into the luxurious two-tiered Grand Ballroom at the Omni William Penn Hotel. Both Patrick from Community Flower Shop and Peacock Creations quickly went to work assembling the perfect setting for a romantic and luxurious fusion wedding. Maharani Amrita was a knockout in a turquoise and sparkling silver floral length anarkali with intricate sequin designs. Guests enjoyed Indian food from Taj Mahal and were blown away by the custom designed mehndi wedding cake baked to perfection by Cathy Burnheimer of Frosted Envy. We are excited to view the cinematic version (and share it with you!) of  this wedding filmed by Nate Sherer Video. A treasure trove of images awaits you in the gallery shot by Elizabeth Craig Photography. The bride has some advice for you Maharanis down below, so read up!

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?

I chose a bridal lengha (turquoise) for my wedding reception, and a red anarkali for the Sikh ceremony. For the reception, as I mentioned before, Andy's favorite color is blue, and mine is green, so turquoise was a perfect mix of colors for the theme of our wedding. I wanted my lengha to match the room and it did perfectly. I wasn't able to go to India because I was still in optometry school and studying for boards, so my parents when to India with my ideas in mind, and we spent many nights facetiming at 2 am, and I cannot thank them enough for finding the perfect outfits. They did the same for my wedding anarkali. I chose red because it is the traditional wedding color of a bride for the wedding ceremony.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?

There were several things! Mostly, I loved bonding with my family. To be honest, they are more fashionable and have a better eye for detail than I do, so I could not have done all of this without them (this includes my dad!) My parents really worked tirelessly for this wedding, and my sister has such an incredible flare for design. We had so much fun picking colors, going to vendors, deciding on invitations, every detail (as much work as it was) was much more fun to do in good company and it was fun to have some surprises for the groom! I also enjoyed how connected this wedding allowed me to be with my culture. I actually learned so much I did not know about traditions of the Sikh and general Indian culture and it's all so beautiful. This was something that Andy and I were able to learn together. I also appreciated how supportive my husband and his entire family was about learning and submerging himself into a culture he was not familiar with. We all enjoyed learning together. It was all perfect.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?

Our first look. I was so nervous. The moment after I tapped Andy on the shoulder and he first turned around and we saw each other for the first time on our wedding day. And realized, wow, we really get to marry each other today.

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?

Don't stress. Things won't go perfectly. Know that ahead of time. There is nothing you can do. You are here to get married to the person you love, and the rest is just an accessory. Don't forget that.

We enjoyed sharing this fusion wedding with you all and as we return tomorrow with another wedding, we hope we have given you some inspiration for your big day! Until tomorrow, loves!
