Pittsburgh, Fusion Indian Wedding by Elizabeth Craig Photography

You never know where you are going to meet your soulmate. For Maharani Amrita it was really just as easy as picking up groceries when she spotted sizzling hunk Andrew and the rest is wedding bliss history. Both Amrita and Andrew knew the importance of ensuring that both of their backgrounds were acknowledged on their big day(s). So, when Erin of Divine Celebration & Events took on the design reigns, she was up for the challenge! Both the Sikh wedding ceremony and reception took place at the auspicious Omni William Penn. For her wedding ceremony, Amrita brought on Patrick from Community Flower Shop for one of the most awe inspiring floral mandaps I have seen to date. With bright greenery, bouquets of florets in shades of crimson red and ivory white, the ceremonial stage was clearly the focal point (besides the bride and groom, of course!) in the room. The bride walked down the aisle in a red and gold anarkali and traditional moghul wedding accessories. A stunner indeed! The bride and groom also exchanged their own wedding vows alongside the ring exchange once the Indian ceremony commenced. We can’t wait to watch the film captured by Nate Sherer Video once it lands on our desk! Event designer for the multiple events was Peacock Creations Event Design with Elizabeth Craig Photography on the forefront capturing all the images that you can find in the gallery.

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?

While he was in the checkout line at Dave’s Market (the local grocery), I spotted Andrew and recognized that I had seen him on Case Western’s campus (where we both coincidentally went to college) before with some of our mutual friends. After approaching him, we established that we did indeed have several mutual friends, both went to Case Western Reserve University, and would both be learning to survive without the meal plan this semester. Andrew used this opportunity to offer to make me dinner that weekend, and after one delicious chicken casserole we could not see enough of each other!

A few months after we had been dating, I went home with Andy to meet his family. Andy is one of 7 siblings-and that does not even include his in laws! I knew he was the one when I saw how much love and caring he has for everyone-not just for how much he had for me the past few months. He walked in the door and picked up his youngest sister (she was 10 years old at the time) and gave her a big kiss. He spent time coloring with his niece who was 6 years old. He has so much love and respect for his mother and father. He engaged all of his siblings, and it was apparent how much they all missed him-and how much they all meant to each other. It was also so warming to see what an affectionate and welcoming family he came from. They all cared so much for each other. And that was when I realized the type of influence Andy has on people and how he treats everyone-he makes everyone laugh (including me). He has so much love and compassion for everyone he meets and in his life-his friends, his family, and he had extended that to me.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!

As a celebration for Amrita finishing her first part of boards for Optometry, Andy took Amrita to Fort Lauderdale, Florida (little did Amrita know it was actually for much more). On the first evening they got there, Andy was very adamant about getting to the beach to watch the sunset. They unfortunately missed the sunset, but caught a full moon on the beach. After enjoying sitting on the shore, when Amrita stood up to walk back, she realized Andy was still on the ground on one knee with a ring in his hand. Of course she said yes!

We have part two coming right up along with the details from the reception and the delectable mehndi inspired wedding cake from Frosted Envy! See you in a bit!

Baltimore, MD Pakistani Fusion Wedding by Akbar Sayed Photography

At the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront, Maharani Kathleen’s fairy tale wedding unfolded. I was completely blown away by the floral and décor, especially the centerpieces, designed by Sarah Khan Event Styling. One word to call this wedding? Enchanting; this ballroom was decorated with a whimsical mindset. Our Maharani looked picture perfect for Akbar Sayed Photography thanks to Stacie Synder who dolled up Kathleen for her big day. Amelia Carrara - Eve of Milady delivered the fashion for the evening and once again, proved to be an expert in her craft. That wedding gown is to die for, especially the lace sleeves! A beautiful Pakistani Fusion wedding indeed. If you need some floral and décor inspiration, head into the gallery. You are going to love these images!

Baltimore, MD Pakistani Fusion Wedding by Akbar Sayed Photography

A true Pakistani Fusion Wedding indeed! In Baltimore, Maryland, Maharani Kathleen and Maharaja Ali exchanged their vows with two different wedding events. The day before the American wedding, Kathleen and Ali gathered all their family and friends at the Ten Oaks Ballroom for a fun mehndi night that consisted of dancing and eating. Groom Ali surprised Kathleen with Testudo the Terrapin, official mascot of the University of Maryland, at the venue! The venue was decked out in purple and gold tints, two hues that truly make any event look like royalty, by Sarah Khan Event StylingStacie Snyder dolled up Kathleen and Sahib Nagra spearheaded the very important task of mehndi designs. Akbar Sayed Photography captured all the images for this splendid Mehndi night! Take a peek into the gallery to see two families unite, truly my favorite part of any wedding!

Worcester, Massachusetts Indian Wedding by NYNJ Photography

Tina & Viram’s adventure has officially begun! Back at the historically striking Union Station, Maharani Tina’s festivities continued. One of the latest styles we have seen at Maharani Weddings HQ’s is long dress lengha’s and Tina was able to pull this look off flawlessly with her hair and makeup done up by Glow by Harneet. Boston Sound and Light provided venue lighting and Alankar Décor was back with the beautiful decorations. Mint2beEvents was once again in charge of ensuring that Tina’s day went smoothly as guests munched on catering from Ambrosia Tavern. Not only was Javed Vahora from NYNJ Photography back for capturing all the wedding magic, invitees took advantage of the Dutcher Digital photo booth. Guests got a sugar high from cake and desserts by Ella Sugar Boutique and Montilio’s while Boston Sound and Light churned out beats from the turn tables. Truly another memorable wedding! Take a look-see into the gallery for more lovely images of this beautiful unification!

Worcester, Massachusetts Indian Wedding by NYNJ Photography

The Union Station in Worchester, Massachusetts holds a timeless elegance that remains to be unmatched. It is no surprise that Maharani Tina’s elegant Indian wedding would take place in the venue. The Bride radiated from the works of Glow of Harneet. Taking a look at the massive ballroom and all of its intricate details, I can imagine what a feat it would have been to decorate the spacious chambers. Alankar Décor had their work cut out for them, but they rose the top, accentuating the ceremony and reception with style and flair. Mint2BEvent were on hand to make sure everything moved along smoothly with Boston Sound and Light illuminating the venue to perfection. I absolutely love it when the bride and groom exchange love letters on their wedding daty. There is simply something just so special about sharing a moment with your loved one, even though they are not in the room with you! Check out the gallery with images by Javed Vahora of NYNJ Photography for one of the best baarat cars I have seen to date!
