Cleveland, OH Indian Wedding by Making the Moment Photo

After getting married in 2020, Pia and Om postponed their wedding reception to 2021. The wait paid off! These two planned the most lovely celebration that included a Sangeet, a Mehndi function and a beautiful bash at the unique Tenk West Bank. This locale is a warehouse built in the 1880s as a machine and tool factory! The former industrial spot set the scene for this grand celebration that featured a joyful Baraat procession that incorporated the bride and groom and that kicked start the party. The bridal entourage showcased mismatched ensembles while Pia showed off her best style wearing a gorgeous lehenga choli set in a blue hue. She effortlessly expressed her own style, opting for a natural hair and makeup look and light jewelry. Decorated with reddish mandala mehndi designs, Pia's hands were perfectly on point with her trousseau! Raja Om looked super dapper! He picked a burgundy dinner jacket paired with a black bow tie and tuxedo pants. Just the right amount of glam for the occasion! Gorgeous greenery and a stunning palette of yellow, orange, and white blooms decorated the large room and elevated the reception's decor. At the same time, wedding professional DJ Mavi exceeded all expectations offering the partygoers a large selection of music. This highly experienced DJ guaranteed the party went on until late! While dim lights gave the venue an auspicious vibe where everyone could mingle and celebrate Pia and Om! The magic of the evening was artistically captured by Making the Moment Photography! The acclaimed photo artists tell the story of this couple's festival of love in a gallery you can't miss! Check out every snap and get inspired by this exceptional event.

Jersey City, NJ Indian Wedding by PTaufiq Photography

It takes a village to plan a wedding! And a whole town to plan an Indian wedding! Indeed this was the case for Sapna and Ankit. This lovely duo worked with a troop of exceptional vendors that put together their wedding vision in Jersey City, New Jersey. Pearls Event and Co. was in charge of leading the vendors, planning, and executing this lavish affair. The striking functions started far before the main events with a wonderful party to greet all guests with a fun Yacht celebration that set the tone for the whole experience. A charming rooftop wedding ceremony followed the first function at the Hyatt Regency Jersey City on the Hudson. This elegant venue offered the iconic views of New York City's skyline and the Hudson River as the backdrop for the traditional ceremony and their photoshoot! Congrats to PTaufiq Photography for capturing the most incredible images of the newlyweds overlooking the Big Apple. Elegant Affairs worked their magic and created a ceremony decor that featured a monumental mandap structure complemented with stunning florals in burnt sienna and golden details. Later, the lovebirds hosted their guests in an indoor space for a night of festivity with everyone in black tie attire! The reception was sophisticated and contemporary, overflowing with delicate crystal cluster candelabras that created an extravagant and warm ambiance. Maharani Sapna was the sovereign of this affair. Her hands and arms, festooned by Color Me Rouge, were a work of art, and this sought-after beauty team also styled her gorgeous bridal lehengas that showcased the most extraordinary thread work and details! Live music was in charge of NSL Talent's artists, and a three-wheeled motorcycle provided by Pure Luxury Slingshots gave the duo a unique send-off. What an unforgettable union! Check the best of Sapna and Ankit's wedding album in our full gallery

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
I met Ankur on the Bumble dating app. I knew he was the one when he agreed to go see Aladdin the musical with me.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
The proposal was a COMPLETE surprise!!! We were traveling to Spain to visit my sister and her family. My sister and her family were showing us around and we went to Parque del Retiro. We were walking around and Ankur led me to a gazebo which was decorated with flowers! Next thing I know he was down on one knee proposing!!!!

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
Social media was very helpful while planning for my wedding during the pandemic. I used IG pages and facebook to contact vendors for hair/makeup, outfits, decor, and mendhi. Everyone was very helpful and understanding due to the pandemic.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I wanted a traditional red bridal lengha. I wasn't able to go to India and my mom and aunt were very helpful. They knew I wanted a red bridal lengha. Whatapp video calls were very helpful.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The most enjoyable part was planning on what I wanted for my bridal mendhi. I wanted something that represents both Ankur and I. Neha Assar did an amazing job with my bridal mendhi and working with her was a great experience!

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
The guests enjoyed the intimate wedding.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
The moment that replays in my head how my family and extended family worked together to make my wedding happen. Everyone played a significant role.

So much beauty in one wedding! Don't you think? Leave your thoughts below.

Somerset, NJ South Indian Wedding by Jayesh Production

Good morning loves! Today we have a fabulous South Indian spree that is absolutely one for the books. Rohini and Krishna, the pair at the center of this traditional affair, prepared an experience like any other for their guests. The celebrations included lots of pre-wedding rituals that concluded with a beautiful ceremony at New Jersey's premier venue, The Marigold. Elegant Affairs Inc gave this couple the day they dreamed of decking out the ceremony stage with a temple-inspired theme that included white and red flowers, red drapes, and opulent golden pillars. The details of this mandap are spellbinding!  Jayesh Production captured the wedding day's events and followed the newlyweds from the getting ready moments all the way to through their grand exit. The talented photo team snapped the beautiful Rohini as the beauty expert  Looks by Jassi pampered her and created a gorgeous eye and bold lips makeup look she completed with an intricate henna design by Henna by Riddhi. What a jaw-droppingly magnificent style!  Rohini and Krishna hosted a reception after completing their ceremony and selected Chand Palace to provide a deliciously-satisfying selection of food for all their nearest and dearest. I'm sure you will love these traditional South Indian rendezvous' images. Having said that, brace yourself and click on the full gallery.

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Our marriage was arranged. We found each other's profiles on WhatsApp and requested for additional details. Once our horescopes matched and we knew we could proceed talking, we exchanged numbers. We started talking in Feb, saw each other for the first time on Valentine's Day and quickly after got engaged. We were supposed to get married in May in India, but due to the pandemic, we pushed our wedding to November and got married in the US. Just by talking to each other, we fell in love and after seeing each other, we felt the spark!

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
No proposal story as our wedding was arranged :)

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
Initally we planned on having the wedding in India, so when we suddenly decided to have it in the US, I had to use Google as my best friend to look up different venues. My older brother suggested we look at the Marigold and after doing so, we fell in love with the venue. For the remaining, we took help from our venue for preferred vendors and finished the search on Instagram!

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I knew that I always wanted to be traditional, not just in the outfit, but also in the colors. My wedding saree was maroon and gold.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
Our original wedding was supposed to happen in India, but because of COVID, we decided to get married in the U.S. My father-in-law and mother-in-law and grandparents flew from India to attend the wedding and because we were performing most of the ceremonies at my house, both families spent a lot of time planning the event together and executing it in the same place. We are probably one of the few people who can say we attended each other's pre-wedding ceremonies!

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
After the wedding, our guests came back to us to tell us that they enjoyed the Indian food, social distancing (welcome to COVID weddings!), the live video (all our family who could not make the wedding in India due to COVID), and how traditional our wedding was especially because we were performing the ceremony in the U.S.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
In the Hindu culture, the bride and groom do not see each other on the day of the wedding until the Muhurtham time, ours was at 9:09 AM. At that time the thera between the bride and groom comes down for us to look at each other for the first time. The moment that constantly plays in my mind is when the thera comes down, I could not help but smile and almost tear up imagining that at that moment, I was going to spend the rest of my life with the man in front of me.

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
We had a five-day South Indian Hindu ceremony. Day one consisted of me getting my Mehandi done. Day two consisted of getting both Krishna and I ready to become the groom and bride by getting us dressed in wedding clothes after the Mangala Snaanam. Day three consisted of the Krishna performing the Snathakam ceremony and I performing the Ankurarpana ceremony. That evening, we both the families sat across from each other for our Vara Pooja. At last, day four was our wedding! Following our wedding, day five, we ended the happy occasion by performing the Satyanarayana Pooja. All events, aside from our wedding, were done at home due to the COVID situation. We celebrated our wedding with a small intimate gathering of our closest friends and family.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
All the small details will fall into place by the time of the wedding. Relax and enjoy the wedding day.

Happy Tuesday, Maharanis! More inspiration to come tomorrow.
