Our bride, Sukhman on how she met the man of her dreams:

"My aunt introduced us and by the 4th time we met, I knew it was definitely something special!"

On her wedding style:

"I always wanted to make sure my wedding day colors stood out. Not the traditional red, but something that popped. So I decided I was going to wear bright colors and not just one but three! The party hall after the ceremony was decorated with the same colors as my outfit and it was really amazing! Very colorful and welcoming just the way I imagined! I had a picture in my mind of what my outfit needed to look like that day and a boutique in Pataila, Punjab, India made it happen for me! The outfit and look was perfect for a June wedding day- and my husband loved it. His Sherwani had magenta to match the magenta in my outfit which was perfect. He looked amazing!

The reception day colors were definitely light, airy, and romantic color which was perfect for the evening event! The hall was decorated in touches of gold, white, and pink. It looked beautiful..."

On her bridal fashion:

"I definitely spent a lot of hours online. One particular outfit stood out, it was very colorful and beautiful. However, it was a Lengha. I wanted a salwar Kameez for the wedding day to bring a complete royal Punjabi look. So I picked some colors and embroidery designs and came up with the perfect salwar Kameez for that day!"

Meet back here for the romantic wedding reception!

Newark, DE South Asian Wedding by Maria A. Garth Photography

Now that Farah and Culley are officially husband and wife, they're ready to celebrate with an intimate and elegant reception at the Deerfield. For their walima, Maharani Farah donned an incredible white wedding gown straight out of the pages of a fairy tale. With lace cap sleeves and a full, tulle skirt, she looked absolutely divine. Raja Culley made the most handsome Prince Charming in his brilliantly tailored black tux, and together the happy couple made for some sensational portraits! The terrifically talented Maria A. Garth of Maria A. Garth Photography caught up with the lovely newlyweds for a second first look (yes, these should happen more often!) and captured some candid highlights from their post-ceremony soirée that will melt your heart. You can check out even more memorable moments from it all in the complete gallery!

Maharani Farah, on the role family and friends played in helping her plan the wedding of her dreams:

"My husband was so supportive during all the wedding planning. His creativity and the way he was able to help me out during the stressful planning times will never be something I forget!

My sister and my matron of honor, Zara, helped me pick out my dress and even threw me a total surprise bridal shower. My bridesmaid, Maria, helped a lot with decor around the hall. She designed our sweetheart table and just made our special day beautiful! Both of my brothers, Osman and Nomi, did everything they could to help me in the planning process. From making sure I had everything I needed the day of, to setting up the stage and driving all around to make sure my flowers were picked up!"

On working with her vendors:

"My florist, Cheryl from Kirk's, was absolutely amazing during the wedding time. The morning of the mehndi, I called her in a panic because I needed her to make me a last minute flower crown for the celebration that night. Even though it was last minute, she told me to come get it in an hour and I wasn't specific about what I wanted it to look like; I just gave her the colors of what I was wearing. When I saw the crown, it was unbelievably beautiful and perfect! From my bouquet to the corsages, the real pumpkin centerpieces and the floral jewelry, Cheryl was there to cater to everything I needed! One of the best and kindest vendors I have ever worked with; anyone in this area that needs a florist has to contact Cheryl Baker."

We're so honored that you spent a part of your day taking in this beautiful South Asian wedding with us, Maharanis! We hope you'll join us again tomorrow!
