Hey Maharanis! There is so much to see at this ATL affair and I'm so glad that WalkOnWater Productions is on hand to capture it all! It begins with a sangeet that has everyone on the dance floor and the couple of the hour dazzling in their chartreuse wedding fashions. This darling duo wed in a lovely ceremony and then glam it up for their reception and I'm loving Maharani Akrati's glittering lengha! Good morning, my lil sunshines! You can count on me for always brightening up your Monday mornings! Today is no different. Feast your beautiful eyes on this awesome New York South Indian wedding highlight reel by MaxPhoto NY. There are just so many exceptional details to dicuss! The floral & decor, courtesy of Stylish Events, is stunning! From the bouquets to the mandap to the sweetheart stage, I love it all! Glamorous Event Planners do an amazing job organizing this momentous event! And how cute are Maharani Usha and her raja, Sameer, as they dance for their guests to the musical stylings of Premier Entertainment?! Just for the reception lengha sari alone, you have to watch this!

From the bride, on the proposal:

"In May of 2013, my husband planned a trip to Napa Valley and San Francisco. He knew that I had always wanted to visit Napa Valley. I had no idea he was planning on proposing there! He took me to the wineries during the day and then told me we had dinner reservations at Auberge de Soleil. He rushed me to get ready so that we would be able to be there prior to sunset. My husband took me to the balcony of the restaurant with an amazing view and proposed. We had a special chef tasting menu and champagne and strawberries awaiting us in our hotel suite. Such an amazing weekend!"

On the wedding style:

"I always wanted to have my wedding at an estate with lush gardens and beautiful landscapes. The Village Club of Sands Point proved to be the perfect setting. I knew from the start that pink would be the central theme of my wedding. Pink is a fun and lively color and perfect for a summer wedding set in a garden. I wanted a lot of roses in both the ceremony and reception. I love circular mandaps adorned with roses on the top. I knew that since my wedding sari was red and gold, I wanted the mandap decor to match."

On the planning process:

"I enjoyed visiting all the vendors with my mom and going over the color scheme, menu, bouquets, cake, jewelry and all the details that go into planning a wedding. We are thankful to have had Glamorous Event Planners to guide us along the way."

On her hair & makeup:

"I spent a lot of time choosing my hair and makeup for the wedding events. I wanted a really unique headpiece, and was thrilled when I found it just weeks before my wedding. I wanted a chic updo with red lipstick and gold hues for the makeup that could be accentuated by a headpiece. For the reception, I wanted mostly pink hues for the makeup and voluminous curls. My wonderful stylist worked with me to make me feel and look my best!"

On the jewelry:

"I loved choosing the jewelry for my wedding. For the ceremony my mom presented me with a gold set during my bridal shower. I enjoyed wearing this amazing set. I knew for the reception I wanted to wear my grandmothers diamond necklace. Fortunately I was able to find earrings and a tikka to match."

On the cake:

"Our wedding cake was another special part of the wedding. Each layer of the cake was a different flavor such as raspberry mousse/chocolate and pistachio and butter sponge cake. The cake was decorated by the wonderful stylish events."

On her fave memory:

"My fondest memory from the wedding is dancing with my husband and living in the moment. We are both physicians in training and don't get to spend much time together. It was so special having our photoshoot, first dance, and just laughing and enjoying with our closest friends and family."

Happy Friday, my loves! Today I have an engagement portrait session that's almost as sweet as my caramel frap! These sweethearts are all sorts of adorable as they hop in a yellow cab and check out all NYC has to offer! From a sunset stroll along the Brooklyn Bridge to ice cream in Central Park to waterfront cocktails with an amazing view, Sachi Anand Photography is on hand to capture every precious moment as these soon-to-be newlyweds take on the Empire State! Good morning, sweethearts! Today we have a very special feature because I get to share my BFF's Retro Bollywood bridal shower! It was such a treat to be a part of this sunshine sweet affair and I assure you there was nonstop laughter and smiles all around! Maharani Puja knocked it out of the park with her vintage bridal style and neon makeup look by M-Sutra Bride. Every detail was perfection but her million dollar smile was definitely her best accessory! Gala Kuzyakova Photography played paparazzi as this bubbly beauty gathered all her besties for some fun in the sun and it was a total blast! Bridal shower games ranging from "smooch the stud" to a DIY ring contest to wedding charades brought the LOLs and made for some playful competition. After all the festivities, a stop by the candy bar on our way out ended the day on the sweetest of notes. This unforgettable event will stay close to my heart forever!
