Maui, HI Indian Wedding by Graham Chappell Photography

Mira Savara Events planned the destination wedding of Maharani Priti’s dreams! With a breathtaking view the stunning ocean and an intensely azure sky, today's beautiful bride said “I do” to her Raja in the most beautiful setting imaginable. Priti wore a golden and magenta lehenga, while Prasanth matched her in a regal sherwani. The dashing duo made a thrilling ceremony entrance, as they sailed in on a canoe before their sun drenched ceremony. As Prasanth slipped a diamond ring on his Desi dream girl, guests stood up and cheered in the tropical paradise setting. Graham Chappell Photography snapped the most gorgeous highlights from the adorable duo's ceremony at the Andaz Maui, and we just love the modern mandap  encased in delicate, beachy blooms. We’re completely enchanted by the portraits of the newlyweds flanked by the most beautiful sand, surf, and sunsets. You can feast on even more extraordinary details from this outdoor wedding in the complete gallery. And make sure to hurry back for our post on the post-ceremony party (with a live performance by Manutea Nui E) that's coming up next!

Pittsburgh, PA Indian Fusion Wedding by Jorge Santiago Photography

During Preethi and Ben’s charming reception event, guests were delighted by all the event’s personal touches! To honor Ben’s Japanese background, Preethi adorned the Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens.  Reception space with 1,000 paper cranes that she folded herself. This creative bride also laser cut the table numbers and had a friend illustrate the program booklets. These thoughtful touches made such an impact, and were a great way to reflect the couple's personality. For other planning and design duties, Divine Celebrations & Events were brought in to make sure no stone was left unturned. Preethi and Ben kicked off the reception with their lovely first dance performed to a mix of songs, including “Hymn for the Weekend” by Coldplay, “I Can’t Feel My Face” by the Weeknd, and “Kabar Nahi” from Dostana. We love it when Eastern and Western songs are fused - Always a crowd pleaser! Preethi and Ben left the reception in a shower of sparklers, photographed beautifully by Jorge Santiago Photography. This celebration was full of lots of adorable details and crafty inspiration, so hurry and peruse the full gallery!

Pittsburgh, PA Indian Fusion Wedding by Jorge Santiago Photography

Preethi and Ben’s love story began when they were graduate students at Carnegie Mellon University. Over the summer, they were assigned to the same capstone project group and spent eight hours a day working in close quarters. But it wasn’t all work for the twosome! Afterwards, they would relax by getting slurpees at 7-11, watching Game of Thrones, and exploring Pittsburgh. They had the time of the life that summer and knew they were a perfect match. After an epic proposal in San Francisco, Preethi and Ben were ready to begin their wedding planning. The duo envisioned a Pittsburgh locale, and wanted the aesthetic to be breezy and fresh. They found the ideal spot in the gorgeous Phipps Conservatory and enlisted the planning and design experts at Divine Celebrations & Events to help pull off their special day. For the ceremony, Preethi wore a sari as vibrant as her personality, while her hair and makeup was beautified by Angelina Mascarenhas of Flawless Bridal Beauty. The grounds at the Phipps Conservatory were radiantly sunny as Preethi walked down the aisle. Guests teared up as the duo recited loving vows, promising to support each other forever. You can peruse all the colorful photos by Jorge Santiago Photography in the complete gallery.

Bethpage, NY Indian Wedding by MaxphotoNY

Here at Maharani Weddings we love a good reception celebration, and Sonia and Rajendra’s event at The Sterling Caterers was the epitome of a joyous soiree! For the reception, Sonia and Rajendra switched gears from their traditional Indian garb into black tie finery. Sonia was adorned in a classic, white wedding gown while Rajendra was dapper in a crisp suit. Their energetic wedding party looked fab as well, with the bridesmaids dressed in rich purple gowns and the groomsmen in dark suits with purple ties. The outdoor portraits by MaxphotoNY on the fairytale grounds of The Sterling Caterers were otherworldly, and captured Sonia and Rajendra’s newlywed glow perfectly. Maharanis, we urge you to always take outdoor wedding shots during your portrait session, because there’s no better backdrop than nature and no better lighting than sunshine! As the couple and their wedding party made their joyful entrances into the grand ballroom, they were surrounded by the most incredible floral and decor elements by Elegant Floral Design and The Sterling Caterers, with planning and design by Platinum Celebrations Inc. After Sonia and Rajendra’s romantic first dance and mouthwatering cake cutting, the party blasted off into a whirlwind of dancing to music by DJ Speede and Team Magnum and guests taking hilarious pics in the photo booth by MaxphotoNY. For more incredible pics that will give you plenty of wedding inspiration, peruse the complete gallery  by MaxphotoNY. Enjoy!
