The bride on how she met the one:
"We met in Canada when I studied abroad and he did his masters. We were at a club and I was bored, so I looked around and he was standing on the middle of the floor and looked like a fun guy, so I walked up to him. Then we played with the black light at the club, had pizza and met again a few days later."
On the romantic proposal:
"We were in New York to celebrate his childhood friend's wedding. The day I was leaving he took me on a nice hike to bear mountain. He knows that I love hiking. Although we were running out of time, he took his time and didn't rush. We sat down to look at the view and he started talking about all the nice views we had seen together and all the great trips we had been on. Then he said he would like to continue doing that and seeing great views together. And he gave me a lovely ring made in India."
On her make-up look:
" I had some ideas and my friend sent me a video of the perfect hair with flowers in the braid. I fell for that and talked to my florist and beautician about it. For makeup I had some ideas about what I liked, collected a few pictures and talked to my beautician about it."
On planning her wedding:
It wasn't 100% Indian. It was a mix of Indian, Norwegian and American and I enjoyed that. That meant we could pick the things we liked from each culture and put it together into our wedding. I loved my henna and the Indian food! We also had a fun Indian party the day before, where I wore a sari and we had Indian games."
